I'm feeling pretty confident that little explanation is needed for this album, but maybe why I'm only now getting around to recommending it. Anyways, it's arguably one of the best live albums to ever be released and the catapult that launched Peter Frampton's career. You've heard Baby's I Love Your Way, and you love it.

East Side Story: Squeeze: Music

Description

Nothing and I repeat, NOTHING compares or ever will come close to 80s/90s music. It was in a world of it's own, unaccompanied by reality or logical construction. However, from it we get a plethora of bands/songs that we cant deny. One of my favorite of these is the English power pop band, Squeeze. They're all kinda of amazing, but this record features my favorite track, Tempted.

Though following up Ambivalence seems impossible, Bibio manages to follow though with a good album -- not life changing, but really good. It's more back to the simple folk pop roots, and that's totally okay.

Sure, I'm obviously going to encourage you to spring for the DVD/CD combo, but if you're unsure, or just poor, check out the album. It's the live recording of one of the most legendary concerts of all time. And, you'll wanna be able to take it on the go with you.

It just came to me, like in a vision -- a vision from KCRW's mornings eclectic. No, they absolutely didn't play Peaches or anything, but I was randomly reminded of this genius 90s band. And I thought to myself, "Chad, is this the most awesome album of your childhood?" Yes, I think so.

Brian Eno: Here Come the Warm Jets

In the spirit of honesty, I don't think I had any idea who this guy was until this weekend. I was at a Jon Brion show. He asked for request and people passionately wanted to here some tracks of this, Eno's '74 debut. He played a couple tracks, prefaced by an endorsement of the album that was strong enough to download it as soon as I got home.
