In their debut attempt, these new jersey natives his the proverbial home run. It's a perfect blend of psych pop that you'll want to listen to on repeat.

Sure, I'm obviously going to encourage you to spring for the DVD/CD combo, but if you're unsure, or just poor, check out the album. It's the live recording of one of the most legendary concerts of all time. And, you'll wanna be able to take it on the go with you.

It just came to me, like in a vision -- a vision from KCRW's mornings eclectic. No, they absolutely didn't play Peaches or anything, but I was randomly reminded of this genius 90s band. And I thought to myself, "Chad, is this the most awesome album of your childhood?" Yes, I think so.

I don't think it's gonna change your life or leave you awed by the ingenuity of somehtign you've never heard. It will, however, leave you happy and satisfied that a band can take somethign you're alreayd familier with and make it so great. If you like electro pop, you'll like this,

In the spirit of honesty, I don't think I had any idea who this guy was until this weekend. I was at a Jon Brion show. He asked for request and people passionately wanted to here some tracks of this, Eno's '74 debut. He played a couple tracks, prefaced by an endorsement of the album that was strong enough to download it as soon as I got home.

The problem with having 4,999 recommendations is that it's easy to forget what you've already recommended or to assume that you've recommended something you clearly haven't. Well, somewhere along the mix, this FLips mid-nineties album didn't get a proper nod. I mean, it's not my favorite of theirs, but it's still probably better than everything else you're listening to.

I'm pretty sure that trouble would be had in classifying this New York duo into anyone particular genre of music. So, we'll just call it a folk, electronic, rock, experimental band. This album is my first introduction to the band, and im awed and slightly confused, but in a really, really good way. This one is fun.

Though often misinterpreted as the less hep of their late 60s Rock companions, CCR remains iconic by all standards. They've got all sorts of material worth singing alogn to, but this, their 1970 LP, remains my favorite.

Their first album wasn't the most critically acclaimed, but damn it, it was fun. This, their follow up, is appreciated a little more, but is, frankly, a lot less fun. Don't get me wrong, it's still good, but just not as fun. And, in this case, I'd prefer fun.
