About this list:
The ever evolving list that one might call the soundtrack to my life. Me, I just call it a bunch of albums I really like.
The Twilight Saga: New Moon Soundtrack
First to recommend
Description
I guess I'll go ahead and out myself. I'm a closet Twilight fan. I'm not saying it's good, I'm just saying I like it. Subsequently the vampire flick managed to work some good music into it. And the soundtrack for the upcoming sequel is certainly splattered with more great indie artists.

Strangers Almanac: Whiskeytown: Music
First to recommend
Description
Recently, I've been going through a bit of an inadvertent Ryan Adam phase and it comes in the form of Whiskeytown -- the prerequisite to his solo career. I has always been a big fan of their 3rd and final album, Pneumonia, but has never really put time into their 2nd. Recently though, i got the deluxe editionof Strangers Almanac and it's blowing my mind of alt country beauty.

Raditude: Weezer
First to recommend
Description
NO, Weezer hasn't made a decent album since the mid 90s, but the albums they did make back then still stand has some of my all time favorite records. So, I figure that i gotta, at least, listen everything and anything they put out. Besides, with their newest, they're straying awaying from the templated cover art that we're so use to. That might be a good sign.

Lucky Old Sun: Kenny Chesney
First to recommend
Description
I'm not ashamed to say that I'm going through a major country phase in my life. Where, I'm not always familiar with a song or musician when i hear them, I can always spot a song I love. Kenney Chesney with Dave Matthews for I'm Alive is one of my favorite new (to me) country songs.

I Told You I Was Freaky: Flight of the Conchords
First to recommend
Description
Sure, the first season and subsequent album was better than the second. The newest from Concords, however, still sticks to it's far fetched roots and works on the same level FOTC always have.

Yeah I Know: The Darlings
First to recommend
Description
When garage pop is done right, it instantly trumps the mountains of depression I have building up inside. And what I mean by right, is an ode to television. Thank you Darlings for sing about what I love most, TV.

God Help The Girl: Stills EP
First to recommend
Description
I guess you could call God Help the Girl a Belle & Sebastian side project. I mean, it's the lead singer, making a musical. The original soundtrack is totally awesome and this is just pretty good. It's only $5 though and definitely worth owning if you're a fan.

Dead Man's Bones: Dead Man's Bones
First to recommend
Description
I can't believe it and I don't know how I haven't rec'd this album yet -- not because it's so amazing, but because it's so interesting. I mean, first of, it's Ryan Gosling and some other dude and a bunch of kids. Second, it's mad scary and perfect for Halloween!

Curse Your Branches: David Bazan
First to recommend
Description
Yeah, tha Bazan. David. You know, Pedro the Lion. Even though I'm not sure what's the difference between Bazan in Pedro and Bazan in Bazan, but his new record works on so many levels. It's folky, fun in the way I always loved Pedro the Lion, but it seems to have progressed in a way that is much easier to listen to.

Zebra: Karl Blau
First to recommend
Description
Blau has been doing us right for over 10 years and I've always liked his stuff, but never been all that familiar. I recently listened to his newest, Zebra and was blown away. If it's not his best album by far, than he's making some really awesome stuff.
