FANCY : Text Ring

Description

With this ring, I thee shed......

Life doesn't always go as planned. (She says, while reaching over to take a sip of a giant martini that is being used to medicate the memory of the last few months.....).

Might as well have some fun with the bumps.

I bought this for myself because, well, because why the hell not! And I LOVE IT!!!

You can choose either a matte or mirror finish and best of all- not only can you order the text shown here, but you can actually submit your OWN words for engraving as well. Cool, cool, cool.

Life "To Do" List

First to recommend

Description

This is how Better Me describes their list:
"The Clean Sweep Program is a checklist of 100 items which, when completed, give one complete personal freedom. These 100 items are grouped in 4 areas of life with 25 in each group: Physical Environment, Well-being, Money and Relationships. These 4 areas are the cornerstone for a strong and healthy life and the program helps a person to clean up, restore and polish virtually every aspect of his/her life. The program takes between 6 - 24 months to complete."

I actually printed this up last year and have tried to slowly but surely work through it. So far, I'm thrilled to report I have checked off "I use well-made sunglasses." Hey, you have to start somewhere. And this list is a great roadmap.

I'm not saying you don't want him to land safely. I'm just saying you want to be amused by the look on his face as HE wonders if you want him to land safely.

Floralytes

First to recommend

Description

I can't state this strongly enough- THESE ARE FANTASTIC!!! I have used them for parties at my house, large black-tie galas.... they are one of the quickest and most effective ways to add the "wow" factor to any shindig.

You can order them in many colors and replace the batteries- most importantly you can submerse them in water. You just grab one, twist it to turn on the light and stick it where you want it to go.

If I'm in a rush (when am I not?) and have guests en route, I grab a tall clear vase, stick some water glass rocks and a one or two Floralytes in the bottom and then place one long-stemmed rose in the center. It produces an ethereal glow that immediately sparks comments.

Really, there are thousands of ways to use these in your entertaining lifestyle so my advice is to keep at least a box on hand at all times. LOVE THEM!

"Better to have loved and lost than to live with a psycho" Plaque

Description

I love this because it made me laugh out loud when I first saw it. And it still makes me laugh now that I look at it on my wall.

I also bought the "Put on a little lipstick. You'll be fine." plaque and include it in "divorce gift baskets" when the occasion arises. Always a hit.

Fearlessness Pendant

First to recommend

Description

Not only is this a great looking pendant but you're helping a great organization through its purchase:

"The Joyful Heart Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the recovery of rape and sexual assault survivors through the “total healing” of the mind, body and spirit."

I have purchased a few as gifts over the years and wear one myself. Love this.

Disco Ball

Description

Do I have one myself? I have three. Yep. Three. In different sizes from mega-huge to demure for different spaces. That's how much I love these and how often I use them.

All you need to transform a room- I've even used them in garages- into a fun and funky party palace is a ball and a pin spot. If you want to go all out you can grab the motor, but it's not absolutely necessary.

This is one item that is a small investment with a big pay-off. I promise you won't regret it and will use it more often than you might imagine.

And really, what a great XMas gift. Who expects to unwrap a disco ball???
