Disney Netpal by ASUS - 8.9-Inch Princess Pink Netbook Web Safe Browsing

First to recommend

Description

Fantastic idea & I just love this netbook!

It's a fully functional netbook for girls but in addition to being rugged, durable and powerful it also keeps web browsing safe.

It's made by ASUS so you know that it's a high quality netbook and is made for girls 6-12. Yes, there is a version for boys too in blue with Mickey Mouse icons.

What makes this netbook so special is the fact that it's both kid friendly and is optimized for web safety. Parents also have the ability to pull up data to determine where children spent time, and for how long, in the Disney Browser.

Parents can also set up days of the week or hours of the day that the internet can be accessed.

With rocking games and desktop themes that range from The Jones Brothers to Disney Fairies there are 10 desktop themes to choose from.

This 8.9 inch netbook has features that top netbooks for gown-ups have plus safe web browsing - so don't think that you are giving up features for security.

I think that this will be one of the top requested gifts this holiday season.
Makes me wish that I had a young girl to give this to.

ASUS Eee PC 1000HE 10.1-Inch Netbook with 9.5 Hour Battery Life

First to recommend

Description

This is a great little netbook for both men and women.

My husband wanted one of the newer netbooks so that he doesn't have to lug around his larger and heavier laptop. However, the 1 drawback that he found was that the keyboards were always too small for his chunky fingers (I don't know if he'd appreciate me saying chunky but they are quite larger and fatter than mine).

Not only does this ASUS have long battery life, a super fast processor and a huge hard drive but the keyboard is almost the same size as a standard laptop keyboard ( its 92% the size to be exact) and since it is ergonomically designed he feels comfortable when he uses it in long sessions.

He still would like the keyboard to be the size of our desktop keyboard but your not going to fit that in a 10" netbook.

Tie Dye iPod Skins

First to recommend

Description

I am so up with everything tie-dyed this year. It kinds of brings me back to the happier and simpler days of Woodstock and the summer of love.

The mix of the 60's tie dye and the 2009 electronics makes a statement all it own. It say's "I'm connected, I know that going on yet I have a fun side and want to show it off "
There are also tie dye skins for iPods. (via Tie Dye Online Store)

Skooba / RoadWired Skooba Shuttle Backpack

First to recommend

Description

Perfect for those who need to be wired (and I don't mean from caffeine). This backpack is nothing like the ones that were around when I had mine,
Now it's time to go shopping again and pick this up. This backpack has pockets for everything (and more).

Highly padded to keep your laptop safe & secure & even has a music player pocket with headphone exit port of laptop backpack's side and ergonomic shoulder straps.

Ultra-cool

HP Mini-Note PC Netbooks

First to recommend

Description

Although this page highlights several HP mini-note PC's, I personally like the 1035NR. This mini-laptop has a fast 1.6 GHz processor, a nice size hard drive (60GB), 1 GB Ram, Window XP and so much more.

My husbands favorite feature is that keyboard. Even with his large fingers, he doesn't feel cramped and doesn't find himself hitting the wrong keys as he does with other netbooks.

When we picked up our 1035 we were also quite surprised at the price. It's one of the lowest priced HP Mini-Note PC's. We didn't specifically look for the lowest priced netbook of the group but once we compared features that we liked, we were pleasantly surprised to see the price tag.
And shipping was fast.

We are very delighted with our purchase.

I was surprised to find out that this handcrafted sign is less than $60 and that Al has others that are under $50.

The perfect way to "classy up" your home inexpensively.
