Wear dresses all summer. You’ll look amazing. But don’t buy a copy of what everyone else has; buy vintage. The Way We Wore is arguably the best place in LA to get them. Not too expensive (relatively) and not at all attitude-y. Remember this before you go: people were smaller 60 years ago. It’s not just people with beach houses who can host a summer barbecue. If you’ve got a balcony, an accessible roof, or a bit of sidewalk and some friendly neighbors, you can fire up one of these small-ish grills and have yourself a time. The only rule is, don’t
get a black one. Show some élan by picking out a colorful grill. Blue is my current favorite.

This place was a madhouse when it first opened, but now it’s calmed down and it’s better than ever. Always a low-key scene, perfect for lying back on a lounge chair, taking in the orange glow of the Hollywood sky, and getting drunk. (via LA.com)
