Stocking Stuffers $10.00 And Under (2008) - a list by LISAJAY

About this list:

My first "stocking stuffers" list is probably way out of date, so here's a new one just for '08. (That rhymed!) Again, I'll keep the items at or near $10.00. Some items will be repeats from my first list, but I've checked the price and availability to make sure they're still appropriate.

Maria Evora Carob-Mineral Soap

First to recommend

Description

This is just plain elegant. It will raise the style level of any bathroom or powder room, especially if black is in the color scheme. This makes me happy for the black trim in my bathroom. The lather is foamy and white, and the scent is like the ocean. Perfect stocking stuffer for the lover of fine things.

Wreck This Journal

9 people recommended this item

Description

This is a great gift for creative people who'd like to keep a journal but are intimidated by the empty page. "Oh, this journal is so lovely, how dare I (write, draw, paste, paint) in it?" This is a journal to be trashed. It breaks all the rules of what a journal should be. It smashes creative barriers with exercises that tell you how to. . . Wreck This Journal.

Engineer's Compass

First to recommend

Description

This is a dandy little compass, and a great value for the price. It will make a fine gift for the outdoorsperson and the urban trekker alike. Also, I've never seen a kid who didn't like a compass, and to have a good-quality one "of my very own!" would be just the thing. I have a compass just like this that was handed down to me from my grandfather. I cherish it.

Collapsible Vase

2 people recommended this item

Description

"This clever vase comes flat, as thin as a sheet of cardboard. To mold it you just fill it with hot water and hand form it to any shape you want. You then empty the fase and refill it with cold water to freeze the shape. After use, you can re-flatten it for storage by putting it back in hot water and smoothing it flat."

I LOVE kaleidoscopes. Most are either very cheap-looking or are very expensive. This one looks to be a quality kaleidoscope for an affordable price. Great gift for almost any age.

Travel Wallet on Neckstrap

First to recommend

Description

Going through security at the airport, it's important to keep your boarding pass and picture i.d. close at hand. This is a great wallet designed to be worn around the neck to do just that. If you've felt stressed while trying to keep track of these important items without losing them, you know how much this would be appreciated as as gift.

I've looked at many of these on the internet, and this one seemed the best quality for the lowest price. I've ordered and inspected this item, and am comfortable recommending it to you.

A perfect stocking stuffer for the traveller on your list, for only $9.98.
