What a girl geek wants - a list by hanahula

About this list:

I grew up in an era when a calculator was considered high tech, so I am simply floored by the current pace of technological change. Yet, I don't want to purchase something just because it's the latest (and supposedly greatest) new gadget. Here is what I have found to be fun, useful and/or relatively easy to use.

Qualifications:

Quite simply, I am a girl and a geek.

Helvetica is now more than 50 years old ! Perhaps that doesn't sound even vaguely familiar to you, but typography buff Gary Hustwit has filmed a documentary about the predominance of this typeface in modern life. I cannot wait to see it. But then I am a type geek. (via Helvetica Film)
