Blade Paint Scraper
First to recommend
Description
Make sure to get scrapers with sharp razor blades, because it makes a huge difference when painting around glass.
The cool thing I discovered was painting over the edges of the glass on my metal door frames to seal the windows. However, it means you'll need to scrape the paint off later, which I couldn't do because I had used the incorrect tool! Then I found the razor scraper, and oh, life was better.

Paint Mildewcide (MC-2)
First to recommend
Description
Once I was paranoid. Now I'm just safe. This little packet is pretty cool. Add it to a gallon of paint, and it adds umph to preventing mildew to your walls. During rainy seasons, it's not bad to know you've protected your dwelling from potential mold and mildew. And it's cheap too.

Extra Thick Deluxe Yoga Mat

Description
Huh? Yoga Mat? For Painting?
If you are painting wall, you will have to paint low, as you will high. Kneeling on paper dropcloth will simply kill your knees. I put a yoga mat underneath my dropcloths, and my knees are just fine. Smaaaart, huh?

For the cute little trim rollers, but also great for corners and smaller spaces. Buy lots. Great for touch-ups.

11-Piece Promotional Paint Tray Set
First to recommend
Description
This is by far my favorite product discovered. It includes all the little basics you need for painting a wall. Even if you're not a beginner, it's a good steal considering the number of pieces included. For your first time, buy a few of these. You will later gain appreciation for the more pricey stuff, but in the beginning, you will not know the difference. $10 is really cheap.

9-Inch Paint Roller Frame
First to recommend
Description
You will need about two per painter... Just because for some reason, they hide themselves or they get thrown away because you were too slow removing the foam rollers and they become inseparable. Yeah, speaking from experience, obviously.

MINI TRIM ROLLER 3" (PACK OF 12)
First to recommend
Description
Less comfortable, but less plastic. I opted for the all metal mini roller handles because they're used for minimal work, therefore not too uncomfortable to use. Even though they're not disposable, you tend to accidentally toss these (or your helpers will), so you're constantly buying new. The all metal handles is just a tad better for the environment than the all plastic, you know?

Purdy Roller Cover Semi-Smooth
First to recommend
Description
It makes a difference which surface types to buy for. Most interior walls are semi-smooth, so you're good with using these. You can wash these and use them about 3 times, but eventually, you will need to replace. For a single room, you'll need one one package. Plan on a pack a room... So if you're painting your entire house? Let's say... 8 rooms? How about 24 of these babies. Sadly, it's pretty much the number I went through.

Disposable Plastic Paint Tray Liners
First to recommend
Description
The metal trays will not wash well, and you will have way too much to do to remember to wash them immediately. These tray liners are easy to work with, and they can also be used on their own for lighter work.
To avoid discarding too much plastic, I will sometimes line these babies with plastic bags in addition, making the plastic liners reusable. Less plastic in the trash, less pollution, better air.
