Paper Dropcloth

First to recommend

Description

The secret to keeping your new floors new. I made the mistake of using old sheets... No, no, no. Paint will soak through and you will cry for the destruction of your beautiful wooden floors. I found the paper cloths developed specifically for painting works the best. They're treated for the purpose. You can also purchase them in a giant roll, which can be expensive and wasteful if you need to cover large spaces.

Foam Paint Brush

First to recommend

Description

Great for corners and touch-ups. It also works well for window trim edges and divets.

Ladies, don't fall off your chair when I share this bit of info... It's a great foundation applicator too! I kid you not. The best make-up sponge I've ever used.

Scott Shop Towels

First to recommend

Description

Paper towels that work like cloths. I try to avoid non-reusable supplies, but somethings are unavoidable. Once a rag is stained with paint and oil and muck, all at one time... it's a throw-away. Better to toss paper than fabric rags. One of these sheets will do a lot, so you use less than you would regular paper towels.

Blue Multi-Surface Painter's Tape

First to recommend

Description

This is *very* important. Do not use any other tape but blue tape. Because like me, you will end up spending hours removing bad tape that permanently stuck to your trims and walls. You will never have enough, so if you see the multi-sized sets for less, buy a few of those. It's also good to get the multi-surface tape so you spend less time trying to read the fine prints where to use which tape. Not worth the time, trust me.

Purdy 4 Piece Premium Paint Tray Kit

First to recommend

Description

It's smart to buy a starter kit first. It's the least expensive way to get the all the basics. I started with four sets and added to the set as I needed more. The kits are good extras because they store together, making finding supplies a bit more convenient.

plum blossoms

First to recommend

Description

The Plum Blossom is the flower often used in China and Southern regions of Vietnam to celebrate Chinese New Year. It is also called "friend of the cold," because unlike the Cherry Blossoms which signifies Spring, the Plum Blossoms represents beauty in winter. I'm lucky, I have three trees that are blooming right now. I cut branches to use as bouquets inside my home. They are so beautiful. (Image is of a branch flowering in my living room)

J-B Weld

First to recommend

Description

Lately, I've taken on some projects that require gluing metals together. My friend Miah didn't know how to use fire to weld, and I am simply to scared of burning the house down. So he found this product for me. Exactly what I need. Tomorrow, I'll be glue-welding a leg to a couch. Easy fix. Yay.

I discovered the beauty of Lime Sulfur Spray while researching organic means to control insects and diseases in my garden. I have a HUGE garden, which means HUGE responsiblities. Keeping earth safe, dogs safe and neighbors safe.

Lime Sulfur is one of the best organic products you can use for controling mites, scale and borers. It also helps prevent diseases, such as Peach Leaf Curl, Maple Gall, Leaf Botch, Powdery Mildew, Anthracnose, Rust and Black Spot.

It is for used on Fruit Trees, Shade Trees, Shrubs, Roses and Berries.
