As Fall settles in and I'm forced to close the windows, I start thinking of ways to make the approaching Winter a little easier to handle. I can't do too much to control the sun going down early, but I think a gorgeous fireplace like this one would make the night a lot more romantic and relaxing! I love the shabby chic look of the white finish, and it would look even more home-y stacked full of books and knick-knacks. Bring on the Winter! And don't forget the cocoa :)

Lately, I've been especially drawn to all things zebra print. I've always thought they were beautiful animals, but I think they may just now be earning their just dues in the design world. Stanley Kubrick's masterpiece 2001: a space odyssey blows my mind every time I see it. The atmosphere of this movie is beyond creepy and offers a lot to think about in terms of the future and philosophy. This one time I was on a plane ride at night when the sky was extremely clear. I was able to see the clouds below and the stars above with the moon brightening the whole sky. This poster print reminds me of that night. I just had to buy it. Now every time I look at it I am reminded of what an awesome plane ride that was.
