About this list:

Undoubtedly, the fact that I actually played basketball myself has a great deal to do with how much I understand, and therefore more greatly enjoy, watching the players and the game. Having been a part of a basketball-obsessed college culture also does wonders for my continuing enthusiasm. And now that women have their own professional league, specifically the WNBA, I have even more opportunities to be a part of the "sixth man" phenomenon (i.e. the fans in the stands.)
