The Last Apprentice: Attack of the Fiend
First to recommend
Description
All of The Last Apprentice books are fabulous, and they become fabulouser when you read them aloud, and they become most fabulousnest when you read them aloud to your kids (if they are old enough not to be utterly freaked out). Attack of the Fiend brings the devil back to the world of the living... so watch out. Read the rest of 'em too, darn it. They are just extremely well written and the stories told hold together in a way that is unusual for any books, but even more so in books written with younger folks in mind.

The Time Paradox (Artemis Fowl, Book 6)

Description
Have you been keeping up with Artemis Fowl? These are terrific books to read... especially to read aloud. And if you've read any of them, you'll likely want to pick up The Time Paradox. It looks to me to be one of the best (they just keep getting better, darn it).

Description
The Last Apprentice series is really good. Knocks anything Ms. Rowling ever did on it's behind. And this one promises to be no exception. So I'm putting it on my wish list right now. Bloodeye! What fun!

Pretty Good Music. Do you really need more of an explanation than that?
