2009 Banned Books Week Poster: The Lorax

The American Library Association is one of those organizations that warms the cockles of my cold, cold heart. This poster, for the 2009 Banned Books Week uses a quote from the Dr. Seuss book, The Lorax.
I love the design of the poster and the font.

As a scientist, this appeals to me on a few different levels. I mean, I've always wanted to make a robot with laser eyes and I'm usually found chuckling darkly to myself in a lab coat while holding a test tube of something glowing.
Will we save the world? I don't know. I just like the poster.

Bjorn Wiinblad poster of a young woman

Bjorn Wiinblad is perhaps more famous for his ceramics - you'll recognize is strong influence on much of Adler's work - but I'm a big fan of his exuberant posters. For a long time these were difficult to find but now there are reproductions available. Take a look at this poster along with others at the same Danish website.
