SSX 3 - Used - PS2

First to recommend

Description

As I said about Tricky, which you should also look into for this franchise - nothing gets better in an Arcade-type Adrenaline Classic. The SSX franchise is brilliant all around, from visuals to music, to just plain good fun in the game play. This is the third and most polished installment of that franchise - and worth a heck of lot more than $15. So skip that $15 you were going to spend on two drinks at the pub, and spend 30 hours breaking your back leaping off snowy mountain peaks. Who needs a social life, right.

SSX Tricky - PS2

First to recommend

Description

A must have. As in SSX of any edition is a must have for any real gamer. Game play is fantastic. Arial visuals will drop your jaw. At ten bones this game is a HUGE bargain. Grab this or SSX 3 and give it a run on your PS2 or Xbox. If you are lucky and have a Wii, you can always grab the latest version of this franchise for that. Tricky however, is the only one that comes with Run DMC's famous Tricky jam to accompany your triple flip reverse out of the half pipe, over the chasm of death, into a perfect landing. Seriously, get this one and you will not be disappointed.

Hitman Trilogy - PS2

First to recommend

Description

OK, do you like to fantasize about creeping into some corrupt government official's heavily guarded estate, sneaking into his study and finding him reading through business documents that you are meant to steal, but only after you garret him and leave his corpse in an appropriate place, such that your employer makes the statement he has chosen to make. Sniper rifles, cables, broken bottles, whatever your weapon of choice. If you are dreaming of being an assassin...well you need help first off, but secondly you should check this game out. All three of the Hitman Trilogy in one collection - I wish I had had this when I was playing them individually. Get your creep on creep.

JAK II - Used - PS2

First to recommend

Description

How do you explain Jak? Think Sonic crossed with Mario - you have your main character - sort of. Well not really, but anyway. You have this cool hero in a platform setting like Mario - BUT the whole setting and the missions are all GTA style. So its this goofy, very fun, arcade adventure, in the open environment type setting that has made Rockstar's GTA franchise so famous. Its really a classic game and worth a pick up at $7.

The Mark of Kri - Used - PS2

First to recommend

Description

This is one of the sleeper games of the old PS2. IF you missed this one, its worthy of a pick up, especially at five dollars. Its a tremendous combination of stealth and combat, with some really unique ideas for a fighting system. The plot line is interesting. Picture disney character type art too, all placed in a brutal setting of demons, and crazed tribal savages. It really is a cool game. I don't keep many games in my collection - GTA, SSX, and this. Everything else ended up in trade-ins.

Buy Okami - Used - PS2

First to recommend

Description

OK, so if you game as much as me, you will be wondering why there are so many similarities between Nintendo's Twilight Princess (Zelda) and Okami for the PS2. I still am not sure why, but having played both titles, WHO CARES. Okami is an awesome, and fun adventure title in a very Zelda/Mario/Nintendoesque like cartoon world. You are a God-Wolf that must save the people of the world from some ten-headed dragon demon. Sounds foolish, but your a fool if you don't check it out. Its a tremendous title, very artsy, beautiful really, and a lot of fun with all of the collectibles and fighting moves you can discover. And at $35 used, its a steal.

Shadow of the Colossus - PS2

3 people recommended this item

Description

Another insanely fun puzzler/adventure game. A bit more action-packed than ICO - and still that same gibberish language and weird plot - but still just fantastic. Great scenery, awesome puzzles incorporated into these intriguing boss battles (you fight - yup - you guessed it - colossuses - or colossi - or whatever - BIG Monsters). Definitely worthy of your $20 for a new copy or like $12 for a used. You get 10 hours of entertainment for less than what you would have paide for 3 hours at the theater (if you include Popcorn and that BUCKET of Coke you always get).

ICO - Used - PS2

First to recommend

Description

This has to be one of the finest PS2 titles anyone can ever get their hands on. Granted its good for one play through - as the puzzles are never the same twice. But trust me, you will not be dissappointed with this adventure game. Not a ton of fighting, just awesome scenery and cool puzzles. Graphics are dated a little now - but so is your Moms, so just pick this up and give it a whirl. If you need more current, try the not so sequel - sequel - Shadow of the Colossus.

Half Life - Used - PS2

First to recommend

Description

This game is so cheap now - and used will work fine - trust me - that it's a steal. A STEAL! Graphics are a bit antequated, but the game overall is phenomenal - amazing story makes for one kick butt adventure. Your head will be spinning and your hand will be twitching from pulling at the trigger. PC version is great too - but console again has no slowdowns, just crazy fun first-person shoot-em-up goodness.

Final Fantasy XII Exclusive Collectors Edition - PS2

First to recommend

2 people recommended this item

Description

Whether or not its the collectors edition - no real concern. BUT - as with many previous FF games - if you like a good RPG - which can occasionally help you blow through 75+ hours of time you would have otherwise wasted sunbathing - you will LOVE this addition to your collection. The new battle system is great, the storyline engrossing - just a great RPG title overall. Find a used copy if you can - which with RPGs is typically feasible as once you play through once you rarely go back for seconds.
