plum blossoms

First to recommend

Description

The Plum Blossom is the flower often used in China and Southern regions of Vietnam to celebrate Chinese New Year. It is also called "friend of the cold," because unlike the Cherry Blossoms which signifies Spring, the Plum Blossoms represents beauty in winter. I'm lucky, I have three trees that are blooming right now. I cut branches to use as bouquets inside my home. They are so beautiful. (Image is of a branch flowering in my living room)

Plastic Lei Flowers

First to recommend

Description

I never throw away the plastic flowers given. Seemed wasteful, so I saved my leis for years. I finally found a solution to their existence... Faux blossoms for my tree branches! It's easy to do. You can buy the leis and create your own cherry blossoms using similar shaped branches from plum or peach trees. Photo is of what I did with my lei flowers and plum branches from my yard.

Blossom Wall Decals

Description

I must admit, these are really good wall decals for $40 (and from Target!). The silhouettes of the branches are delicate, and I love the two tone white + beige combo.

These wall decals are unbelievable for $17!!! I think they will look great on my doors, as an alternative to painting the doors white or black.

Blooming Branches Wall Decals

First to recommend

Description

I recently decided that wall decals would look better as door decals. For some odd reasons, I have too many doors in my house -- one on every wall, practically. So why not change them into framed art by adding decals? Good idea, huh?

Cherry Blossom Watch Locket

Description

What a great upgrade on a traditional item. This watch locket necklace has cherry blossoms on green background. I like it because it doesn't have an age limitation - younger or older wearer, it'll look attractive regardless.

MyWall Wallpaper

Description

I'm generally not a fan of wallpaper. The pattern is permanent. To me, it's like wearing the same graphic T-shirt everyday. However, I do have a few T-shirts I *would* wear everyday if I could. I suppose this wallpaper is like that. I love this version of the cherry blossoms. There's something so lovely about the slight pink flowers on aqua blue background. There's a happiness and sadness about it, and renewal as well. Okay, so I'm seeing a bit too much into this. (via spike73)

Description

I think this cherry blossom platter is beautiful in black and white. It reminds me of old Calvin Klein Home. Remember how great that was? On sale for $12.95 (orig $14.95)
