Patagonia Cashmere Hoodie
6 people recommended this item
Description
Yet another quality cashmere hoodie. This time from Patagonia. A company known for its durable outdoor apparel.
One thing that appeals to mean about this hoodie, besides that fact that it's made from 100% cashmere, is the fit. It isn't too fitted, and has a longer silhouette, so it would be perfect for layering.
The brand name and the fact that it is a 5-gauge jersey knit causes me to believe that it would last practically forever if properly taken care of, too. If it weren't for the price tag ($240), I'd have one of these on my back as we speak. I also think it would transition easily from Fall into Winter. The only thing I wasn't impressed by was the limited range of color possibilities.

Insulated Tab-Top Curtain Panels (Set of 2 Panels)
2 people recommended this item
Description
These are very similar to the blackout curtains that I have hanging in my master bedroom. They block out all drafts and sunlight that you don't want in. One tip: Make sure you measure very well. I bought my curtains on sale and didn't have much of a choice, but now they are very much on the floor...lol. I compensate for that design-wise by just folding them under and having a sort of "baroque" look. I am not a seamstress, so hemming them is out of the question. Penning may come later. Anyway, avoid my issues and measure, measure, measure.
Fusing fashion with function, these insulated window coverings handsomely complement existing decor while helping preserve precious energy resources. With a heavy-duty sueded liner that keeps cold drafts and sweltering heat out, they're an affordable way to help keep your utility bill from going out of control. Available in 84"L x 40"W (each curtain) or 64"L x 40"W (each curtain). Canada. (via gaiam.com)

Converse 8" Rapid Response Military Boot Non-Safety Toe, Waterproof
First to recommend
Description
Another pair of rather butch boots for me. But hey, ever since high school, I've been packing a pair of combat boots as a major fashion accessory. What can I say? These are a step up though, I must say. For one, despite what most may think, most combat boots are not waterproof. Another thing, is that they are not very comfortable. Aside from Doc Martens when you first get them.
These military-style boots, by Converse are built for high performance. The combination of waterproof full grain leather and 1000 denier nylon upper to keep you both dry and let your feet breath. They have a quick access side zipper for easy on and off. Removable Foot Force™ cushion insert with Shock Eliminator System for ultimate comfort and cushioning. Sure-Grip Plus Trail outsole provides maximum traction on sand and hard surfaces.
For once I am wearing women's boots with that military edge, in comfort and with dry feet! (via zappos.com)

Wolf Jaw- By Abercrombie & Fitch

Description
I immediately fell in love with this hoodie the moment I saw it. It's perfect for winter, I mean, with all of that faux fur, no layering needed. I'm not an Abercrombie devotee, but this one is definitely me. It's distressed detailing, but it works for the hoodie's overall look. It's permanently casual, no dress up. It would work with jeans or a skirt. I think I hear it calling my name...

Women's Ecolution Organic Hemp/Flax Serenity Hoody
First to recommend
Description
With high quality and a stylish fit, this cute hoody provides moderate warmth and superior comfort. Made of natural, organically grown hemp (42%) and flax (58%) fibers. Available in natural, black, or sage green.
Hemp is a fabric made of natural fibers that's lightweight, long-wearing, easy to clean and breathable. Hemp is a renewable resource that is good for the environment. Its strong roots help control erosion, and it needs very little water to grow. When cultivating the fibers, little or no chemicals are needed since the material naturally resists pests. And the natural look of hemp is so great that no bleaching is required. (via thevegetariansite.com)

Handwoven Bamboo Scarf - Skiingweaver
First to recommend
Description
My default color in color and for accessories is black, but when I ran across this scarf I felt that I could definitely be more flexible. This is a beautiful scarf. If it's this gorgeous in the photo, I have to wonder what it must be like in real life. It's also made from one of my favorite fabrics of late - bamboo.
This handwoven bamboo scarf measures ~ 6" (15 cm) wide x 69" (175 cm) long, with 5" (12.5cm) of handtwisted fringe at each end. I used a combination of soft blue, sagey green and a neutral cream colored bamboo yarn.
The weave structure in this piece creates two different patterns in the finished scarf - one on each side, for two different looks!
Bamboo yarn weaves into gorgeously soft, light scarves with wonderful drape, and they're never itchy. Fold it in half, tuck the ends through the loop, and you've got yourself a lovely accent piece! (via etsy.com)

Garnet Hill Essential Down-Free Hypoallergenic Blanket and Throw
First to recommend
Description
A luxurious nonallergenic alternative to down. A lightweight blanket that is filled with fibers that mimic the loft and warmth of goose down. A smooth 233 thread count cotton cambric shell with 2" satin binding enhances the nonallergenic poly fill.
I prefer these types of filled blankets, as you don't eventually have the feathers of the down poking through the fabric. That gets old. (via garnethill.com)
