Versatile Cashmere 2-in-1 Gloves
4 people recommended this item
Description
As we all know, cashmere is never a matter of need, but of WANT, serious WANT. Now these might make you feel a bit better if you bought them. You get two options out of one purchase. I dunno, should I ever buy cashmere, I'm bound to feel a little bit guilty. I'll also feel pretty spoiled too, though. (via delight.com)

Nike Seamless Long-Sleeve Crew

Description
I'm not a runner and definately not one to exercise outdoors. Much less when it's cold. So, you may wonder why I'm wearing and recommending this shirt. One reason --- it's great for layering. Something I learned when I lived in the much warmer Pacific Northwest was the art of layering.
This crew is great to put under short sleeveed tees and larger, looser long-sleeved shirts. In cold weather, there are holes for your thumbs so that you can go without gloves. I love it! It's breathable, form-fitting and comfortable. (via zappos.com)

Nike Therma-Fit Jacket

Description
Here is another item that I use when layering, and it's great! I wear it as much as is hygeinically possible with the Nike Long Sleeve Crew. At this point my sedentary ass should take up a serious sport, considering all of the Nike gear I wear (minus the shoes). This jacket has extended cuffs with thumb holes to keep your hand warm. It's also machine-washable.
I will warn you however, SCRUNTINZE the sizing guide very carefully. These jackets run very small, and are very form-fitting. So, if you want to be able to put anything under them, order a couple of sizes up. (via zappos.com)

Eddie Bauer: Yukon Classic Down Jacket
First to recommend
Description
I bought two jackets this year. They were both down. The first was from the Gap. After about 30 degrees I was cold. I didn't cut the muster, but looked good. I should have done better research on down. Then I went to Eddie Bauer where I don't usually shop to find a better down product. Success! I found a down jacket with a flattering silhoutte but with a more impressive fill. Right off the bat it gave a "Weather Rating" of Very Cold 0 to 20 degrees. There were other products that had even higher ratings. Anyway, lesson learned, and of course, I bought it in black.
Product Description:
Eddie Bauer patented his first down jacket in 1936. And it’s been in our line-up ever since. We build our Yukon jacket using only premium Northern European goose down with 700-fill-power. The higher the fill, the less down it takes to retain heat, so it warms like crazy without extra bulk. The water-repellent and wind-resistant shell feels luxurious, and has a flattering shape with adjustable waist tabs. (via eddiebauer.com)

Target designers obviously got some inspiration from the Stagger Shelf. The difference is this design is probably not quite as well-made, but it certainly is a whole hell of a lot cheaper.
