About this list:

This year I'm attempting to be more environmentally conscientious about what I give and how I'll do it. These are items I feel would make great gifts that promote and encourage "green values" into our lives. Eco-friendly isn't just a fad, it's life. What could be more meaningful than gifting your family and friends with positive messages and wonderful products? Organic, recycled materials, and everything beyond - Here are my suggestions for "Gifting Green" for every-day life and the holidays.

Description

Sometimes it's hard to shop for your "typical guy" friends and family but I think this a great gift to give. Not only is it eco-friendly (made from recycled bicycle sprocket and recycled hard drive) but it also looks like a "guy gift" and something that he might not have a hard time finding fault with. If anything else this gift wouldn't give your man any reason for being late!

I opted to buy these when I did some shopping at delight.com and haven't regretted it! The gift bags are gorgeous and for those receiving them it's completely unexpected. It's like a great eco-friendly bonus on top of getting a gift. What could be better than that!

This is still my all-time favourite kitchen accessory/textile from Ferm Living. If you've seen my previous recommendations you'll know I'm a big bird lover and of course I've had to find some ways to add them into my kitchen. It's the same design as the Ferm Living wall decal but this is one is much easier to use as an accessory rather than a main feature. It's not mentioned often but these kitchen teatowels are also made from 100% organic cotton and are packaged with recycled materials. You can definitely feel good about purchasing this or giving it as a gift this holiday season.

I love a great scented candle especially at Christmas when our home is full of lights and traditional Norwegian decor. If you're not already excited about the combination of sugerplum and pomegranate permeating throughout your house how about the fact that it's also eco-friendly. This 15 oz candled is made from 100% soy wax and has an organic cotton-paper core wick. Personally I'd love to receive this because it also burns for approximately 100 and I don't see anything wrong with that!

In an effort to get one of my closet family members to make more green choices in her daily life I'll be gifting her with this fantastic set. It includes 5 different black and white patterned bags, 1 27oz bottle, and 2 organic produce bags. She's quite a busy lady from 8-5 each day at the office and I know she'd be getting great use out of these practical items. Whether it be the litres of water she chugs each day, the bags for carrying work to and from the office, or even if she doubles them with the organic produce bags after she leaves work, I know she'll be happy with these. This is a great set of items and is more than just any ordinary starter-pack.
