This year I'm attempting to be more environmentally conscientious about what I give and how I'll do it. These are items I feel would make great gifts that promote and encourage "green values" into our lives. Eco-friendly isn't just a fad, it's life. What could be more meaningful than gifting your family and friends with positive messages and wonderful products? Organic, recycled materials, and everything beyond - Here are my suggestions for "Gifting Green" for every-day life and the holidays.

While it's not exactly tomato season at the moment, why not jump start your own harvest for the months to come? This simple kit includes everything you need for growing your own organic heirloom tomato garden and also includes an organic/biodegradable pot. If you live in a place that doesn't offer any green space for a full blooming garden but still want to grow your own this is fantastic. I'm sure foodies would also enjoy and appreciate this as a gift.

This is such a splendid gift to give and receive. If you've considered making a move over to organic why not try growing your own herbs? This kit includes soil, seeds, and careful instructions for how to care for your little garden. For an extra kick of eco-friendly genius the pot is made from renewable and organic sources and they're biodegradable! During the holidays people give the usual poinsettias that are usually tossed mid-January, why not give something that can be used all year round?
