Little House on the Prairie: The Complete Television Series

Description

You know, $200 is not a bad price for a box set of the entire series. Especially since it was on for a million years. However, in this recession, I'll have to hold off for now. Great show for the entire family that covered complex themes. (via Amazon)

Battlestar Galactica - Season One (2004)

Description

I loved the original Battlestar Galactica but the revised version is even better. Excellent product values, good acting, great plotlines- everything you want. But it is not just mindless entertainment. Instead the new BSG deals with interesting issues of identity, souls, and what is means to be human. Plus there is plenty of human interest side stories to keep everyone happy.

Finally, sci-fi that my wife likes to watch as well (that is a true rarity)

Get it on DVD and prepare to spend hours fleeing the Cylons

Carnivale

Description

In true fashion, the most brillaint and interesting shows get cancelled way too soon. Thats what happened with Carnivale. A classic story, literally, between good and evii set against the backdrop of the Depression and a travelling circus troupe. Just when our hero and antihero (the Antichrist) are about to meet finally in the same town, the show gets cancelled. BAH!!!!! Anyway, the 2 seasons are REALLY worth watching. Check it out. Description

This was/ is a hilarious sitcom! Its about an ill tempered, chain smoking, alcoholic bookstore owner played by Dylan Moran. With each passing season, Moran becomes more and more vile. If you're not familiar with Moran, check out his stand up. The guys is funny. This show had me doubled over with laughter. I love this show. I wish there was more. (via Amazon)

This was such a great sci fi kids show! This British tv show originally aired from 1973-79 and featured a group of teens with unique powers. They were the next step in human evolution.
