Papercraft Self Portrait
First to recommend
Description
Be yourself tonight, next Halloween why not go as yourself. This Papercraft self Portrait for Eric Testroete must have been startling to see in the streets. The project was inspired by big-head mode seen in videogames. The process involved using 3ds Max , Mudbox 2010, Photoshop CS3, Pepakura, and TexTools software before printing, cutting and folding up the pieces. Nice work! (via BannedKappa)

Description
Some can find God in a tea cup, but seminal taste maker Laura Sweet can find heaven in the most amazing products, one of her many shining finds is "Luxury In A Can" created by Flowmarket. Flowmarket is a project that uses packaging design as a way to create awareness. The label touches on the look of "generic" products from the 1970, but the concept is far more expansive that what lay on the surface. Have a look.

Autour de Corto Maltese - Les Recettes de Corto - Hugo Pratt - Michel Pierre
First to recommend
Description
This remarkable cook book combines travel destinations and recipes that the seaman Corto Maltese might have tried, or even cooked on board his boat. From the Pacific to Africa or the Caribbean, through his childhood Cordoba, there is a taste of various cuisines, spices, fish and meat to marry with wisdom and imagination to wines from all over the world, (chosen with the guidance of Antonio Mazzitelli). Original recipes, but also practical, easily and quickly prepared, designed to be prepared on board, even in full sail. The book contains illustrations, text and maps from different parts of the Corto Maltese saga.
