I bought this for my sister in law with some french milled soaps. Small, elegant bowls are hard to find - you think you see a lot of them but on closer examination, you don't....

On my wish list for my bedroom as a jewelry dish.

I couldn't describe as well - so here is the store description too.

Inspired by the distinctive look of Florentine alabaster this little 4.5" diameter x 1.75" high bowl is made from mouth blown glass swirled with white and finished with an iridescent glaze. The base is pewter trimmed with pewter beading. As a trio this bowl is perfect for dipping oils and sauces. It also serves beautifully as a soap dish, jewelry dish and as a simple statement of good taste on its own. Mouth blown glass could differ slightly in shape and could contain small bubbles and color variations. These qualities are expected and add to the unique, one of a kind nature of these handmade pieces. Made in Italy. (via Early To Bed)
