About this list:
I'm one of those who "learn by experience" type of person. Oh yeah, I learned quite a bit of painting a house. It can be painful, but I'm hoping to help the next person go through a little less pain!

Powder-Free, Fully Textured Nitrile Gloves, 100/box
First to recommend
Description
I don't mind paint on my hands. They wash off pretty easily. But for those particular about eecky things under their fingernails, I highly recommend disposable gloves.
You need to be able to feel the tools well if you want to paint well. The reusable gloves are often too loose and you will not get a good grip. The tighter the gloves, the better.

Purdy 4 Piece Premium Paint Tray Kit
First to recommend
Description
It's smart to buy a starter kit first. It's the least expensive way to get the all the basics. I started with four sets and added to the set as I needed more. The kits are good extras because they store together, making finding supplies a bit more convenient.
