Butterfly Dance RapunzelStix Hair Sticks - Extra Long Rapunzel Length Hair Accessories by LongLocks HairSticks

First to recommend

Description

i use these in my shoulder length hair by putting it into a plait (a braid) and twisting it and popping the stick through and it looks so polished and it holds, which is key. As a writer and editor, I used to use my red colerase pencil, but since then i have, thank god, grown a little bit more sophisticated and now have a collection of hair accessories, particularly sticks and these and this company make among the most beautiful, but be sure to look at the close-ups of the top of each one to be certain it's what you want...

graceful and elegant and timeless - never trendy... set trends, don't follow them.

Sierra Sophie Sketch Notebook, wood and damask cover

2 people recommended this item

Description

I'm a writer and an illustrator, working now on my third book, this one about Lewis Carroll and when I meet with my illustrator partner I want something that we can easily incorporate text and type at the same time and write out storyboards and the like so that we have a real sense of what the finished book will look like page by page... this is an excellent tool for this and the perfect shape and size... We've been using Moleskin's as well - also excellent.... For any artist of any kind, poet, writer, illustrator, painter, even for a designer etc. this is an excellent daily work book and sexier than others too.

Moleskine City Notebook New York

First to recommend

Description

i go to nyc once a month sometimes more, and this gives you a great deal of ready-made information but also allows you to create your own directories and guides and address book, along with a generous space for notes and writings, so you in short, are the co-editor and co-writer of a guide book tailored specifically for and to you... this is REALLY useful if you travel to the major cities and for New York especially, i finally got this (thinking stupidly I did not need it at first... duh) and realizing that actually, this is a super thing and you can do so much with it... check it out..... all moleskine products are superior to almost anyother notebooks you can find....

very very cool jewelry with interchangable marbles that shine bright in the night like the polished eyes of herring, just lovely baubles that you can exchange with over sixty different marbles that they supply for you (and you're own marbles if you collect them)

Keep all your marbles! These are fabulous and are made of silver and bronze.....

Sea Glass Jewelry (seaglass) - Beach Glass Jewelry (beachglass) By The Sea : Our Jewelry

First to recommend

Description

i've never seen anything like this - jewelry made of sea-glass; bracelets, pendants, rings, everything - and all from naturally washed-up sea-glass - really really beautiful pieces and not prohibitively expensive but reasonable... stand apart from the crowd in an exquisite piece worthy of conversation...

The Carrotbox - glass rings

First to recommend

Description

i own one of these, several actually if you count the white one, and they are beautiful on. This one is curved inward for your finger and fits beautifully, allow a little extra room for sizing because of the width of the glass - i have small hands and on my middle finger, i take about a 7 or 8, which is surprising, but the ring has to get over the knuckle...

these are very chic, tho i wouldn't wear more than one at a time... you don't want too many rings on; it just looks too cheap, i think....

Thomas-Printers - letterpress

First to recommend

Description

Okay, it's not all about having "nice" stationery for your wedding day. Alas, the days of having proper calling cards (i don't count business cards as calling cards), seem to have gone out of "fashion", but as we know, fashion and trends are quite (emphasis) different from style (emphasis). As a freelance writer and author, it is difficult to know what my "card" should say or have. To this end, I had some printed with simply my name and the word "writer" and a contact phone number and email. Not address, etc. The name is on the front, the other information on the back and a small decorative detail from the type Perpetua. - if you're going to do this, go letterpress. Go with a heavy paperstock, off white - natural or ivory (Monadnock makes a beautiful stock), but something older - I have a friend who has one that reads, "The Former Mrs. ___" I may change mine to say "The Future Ex-Wife of _____" All joking aside, calling cards are a wonderful way to leave personal notes etc and you can have them sized to your preference. Just one woman's opinion.
