Coppola Sofia Blanc de Blanc
7 people recommended this item
Description
if i honestly had to say "why i love this", i wouldn't write anything. it's just a gimmick, really: a can with a little sippy straw. we used this to make mimosas in the restaurant i used to work at, and i couldn't ever figure out why anyone would order it straight. it won't kill you, i guess. and it's cheap and comes in said pink can with a straw. good for giving to kids and telling them it's red bull.
i'm amazed i wasn't fired.

Description
cheap, tasty sparkling wine from spain. not much to say about it--it's not stunning, but for $10 it's a pretty good value.

Greg Norman Estates NV Sparkling Chardonnay Pinot Noir

Description
all right, this isn't quite under $15, but i had to make an exception for it. delicious 57% chardonnay/43% pinot noir sparkling wine (pinot noir can be used to make whites, too). excellent cheap wine for new year's/what have you. too good for mimosas, in my opinion.

goddamn it, robert parker. "...concentrated, fleshy flavors of grapefruit and lime juice, with intense minerality. Wet gravel and a hint of jalapeño pepper linger on the finish." did you lose a bet, or are you just trying to see who'll run out and roll some rocks around on their tongue? fuck you. look what you've done. go sit in the corner.
dry, crisp, and fruity new zealand sb.

Don Rodolfo Malbec 2005
First to recommend
Description
malbecs don't get that much love in this country. too bad, because they're delicious.
this is pretty much just an above-average drinkable red, not as strong than most malbecs.

Ch. Mont Redon Cotes-du-Rhone 2005

Description
god, i hate the fervent patter of wine writers. "...These are offset by slight grilled notes and nuances of licorice, which carry into the persistent finish"? come on, now.
this is a strong, fruity red. it's good. drink it. 70% grenache, 20% cinsault, 10% syrah blend.
