Nestle Coffee Crisp Wafer Candy Bars - (48 pack)
First to recommend
Description
Coffee crisp is a coffee flavored wafer bar covered in chocolate. It was highly recommended by a friend of mine and I recently ordered a 6 pack from Amazon. It's a great "light" candy bar, with a nice mix of coffee and chocolate flavor.
Apparently it's only available in Canadian stores, but you can get it in either 6 or 48 packs from Amazon. Since it's mostly wafer, it seems light, although it does pack 11g of fat and 35% DV of saturated fat. I think I'm going to just assume that the Canadian nutrition info is based on a 500 calorie diet. (via Canadian Dave)

Dare Maple Leaf Creme Cookies, 12 oz

Description
If you like maple creme or maple syrup, you have to try these cookies! These are my favorite variety from Dare Foods, an Ontario company that also makes excellent Chocolate and Lemon cookies.
These are very hard to find in stores (at least outside of Canada), but fortunately you can get them on Amazon. (via mom)

Matt's Cookies

Description
These are without a doubt the best store bought cookies you can find. If you pop them in the microwave for 20 seconds you may even be able to fool your friends/family.
I got hooked on these when I lived in Chicago. I've never seen them on the west coast (I believe they're only available in the midwest), but luckily you can order them online. All of the varieties are good, but Chocolate Chip is my personal favorite.

Steen's Pure Cane Syrup
First to recommend

Description
New England may be famous for its maple syrup, but down south cane syrup is the top choice for pancakes, biscuits and sweet glazes. My Texas born parents introduced me to this rich, dark, almost molasses like syrup, and Steen's is the only brand I've ever tried.
As with good maple syrup, there's just no comparison to the standard supermarket swill. If you're a sweets lover, you should definitely give this a try!

Charssi Spoon Fudge
3 people recommended this item
Description
I saw this product on ThisNext and put it on my wishlist. Someone from the company noticed it and sent me a gift certificate for a jar. I ended up getting two jars, the Chocolate and Chocolate Peanut Butter, and am happy to report that both are excellent!
I grew up on homemade fudge, and don't like what I usually find in stores, which is too marshmellow-ey and sweet for my taste. The Charssi spoon fudge tastes a lot like my mom's fudge, with the flavor, sweetness, and consistency balanced just right. (via craftrevolution)

Stone Ruination IPA
First to recommend
Description
This is my favorite beer from Stone, a small brewery north of San Diego that is best known for their incredibly strong, bitter beers, most famously the "Arrogant Bastard" ale. Ruination is a very strong IPA, stronger than Stone's normal IPA but smoother than Arrogant Bastard.
If you like IPAs and don't like weak beer, you'll probably really like Ruination. Stone's normal IPA is also very good.

Stewart's Key Lime Soda
First to recommend
Description
Stewart's makes some great unique sodas and "beers" (root, birch, ginger), but they can be hard to find. Key lime is my favorite - it tastes like liquid key lime pie (yum!), with orange cream (liquid dreamsicle) a close second.
I have pretty much stopped drinking soda entirely, but will occasionally make an exception for this stuff. (via IIT 7-Eleven (Chicago))

Jaffurs Syrah (2005)
First to recommend
Description
We were recently introduced to this wine at a tasting room in Los Olivos, which is in the mountains just north of Santa Barbara. Our host considered it "What a Syrah should be", and Wine Spectator has given it a 90 point rating.
I'm not a professional wine critic, but I found it very smooth with incredible flavor, and consider it one of the best Syrah's I've tried so far. Jaffurs doesn't make huge quantities of this wine, and with its reasonable price (around $25) it may become hard to find very soon.

Charssi Chocolate Comfort Gift Set

Description
This chocolate comfort gift set would make a great gift for moms who love chocolate. It includes two jars of the awesome Charssi spoon fudge that I've reviewed previously (see the Charssi tag), a choice of gourmet cocoa, coffee or tea, and a personalized message.

IT'S IT Ice Cream
First to recommend
Description
Take a scoop of vanilla ice cream, sandwich it between two old fashioned oatmeal cookies, and then dip everything in dark chocolate. "It's It" is one of the best ice cream sandwiches I've ever had, and I like that it comes from a small San Fransisco company and an old recipe.
