Description
Get a bunch of these and put them everywhere, and you'll never lose those brilliant thoughts. Stash one on your bedside table, in your pants pocket, in your purse. They're skinny and flexible and they fit most anywhere.

Fisher Space Pen/ Apollo
First to recommend
Description
This is an inexpensive full-sized, refillable Fisher Space Pen. It writes upside-down and in water, but more importantly, it writes on the bottom half of the paper you've anointed with hand lotion while writing-- or am I the only one who does that? This pen lets me write the second half of the letter.
This seller offers it for $9, shipping included.

Ginkgo-24, Biloba Extract, 40 mg, 120 Tablets, SOURCE NATURALS
First to recommend
Description
Keep Ginkgo Biloba around for when you're low on brain cells. It's better than coffee (though it doesn't taste as good). Doesn't have to be from this seller; your grocery or drug store probably has it.

Alphasmart
First to recommend
Description
I've had my Alphasmart for several years (Mine's an old 3000), and I enthusiastically recommend it. It's great for writers who don't have or don't want to lug around a laptop. It keeps its battery charge forever, it holds a ton of text, transfers easily to your computer, and weighs next to nothing. And it's cheap: $249 for the Neo (about what I paid for my 3000 way back when).
I thought I'd sell mine when I got my handheld pda, but I just couldn't do it. And it's outlived the handheld many times over.
It's also good for children (it's rugged) and I've seen it used by the ill and handicapped who found it hard to talk.
Customer service is excellent, too.
This is one of those best-kept secrets.
