Vita-Prep 1005 Variable 3-Speed Commercial Blender by Vita-Mix

First to recommend

Description

My Vita-Prep blender is my most prized possession and my number one choice for a blender or food processor.

This is the blender I use in my kitchen at Butter Restaurant in New York. If I could bring it home and hide it under my bed every night I would feel much safer in the world. I couldn’t make a soup or a sauce without it.

It's multi-functional, simple to use, maintain and operate.

This is a simpler, slightly less-powered version of the above. I love this brand. Very solid. Takes a beating and is perfect for crushing ice and soup purees.

The Blendtec ABC Commercial Smoothie Margarita Blender is not an "affordable" item but it is extravagant and is best in class if the consumer wants to splurge and have superior quality.

Benriner Japanese Mandolin Slicer

The Benriner slicer had to go on the list because it is an affordable hand slicer powered by elbow grease. Great for slicing vegetables thin for garnishes and salads.
