Description
Thanks to Lucky magazine Lucky Breaks Online I came across this beautiful little site by interior design firm HOUSEplay - House+wear. With a well edited selection of home and personal accessories from Finland, pieces are hand-screened on fine linen - I just treated myself to the Valssi purse pictured above...

Description
Handbags and jewelry are two treats I can always convince myself I deserve. Both markets are ever evolving and there is always something new and exciting to tempt me. My current find is no exception; Marketa New York offers some of the most simple, yet gorgeous designs that can easily carry you from day to evening. Created by FIT graduate, Marketa Psenickova, the line is modern and sophisticated; using the finest brocades, distressed leathers and silks, the bags gently push the envelope of conventional shape while retaining classic appeal.

Description
White Zombie member Sean Yseult has recently launched her collection of must have scarves for the season – they are Pucci meets rock ‘n roll and the designs are incredible. The Fall Collection is full of moody hues and eye-popping prints – the Spring Collection is also still available and is of equal beauty… I find the prints so inspiring…

1154 LILL Studio: Custom Handbags

Description
I love to play at 1154 Lill Studio website just as much as I love to shop there – and now with their new virtual handbag builder, it makes it that much more fun! My absolute favorite is the Jeanne – completely reversible, you get two bags for the price of one while selecting four custom fabrics to make it uniquely your own {this is one of the few bags they have yet to upgrade to the new virtual building system – but it’s still my favorite!}. Though others are using this concept - Lill has been keeping it unique and fresh sinse 1998 - the are the innovators.

fauna design

Description
Inspired by an almost Alice in Wonderland-like enchantment, Fauna is the creation of Canadian Alexis Walker. While her work “invites us to step into a bygone era,” her collections offer a modern sensibility that is rarely seen with such whimsical insight. The Spring 2006 Collection, in which all pieces could make an effortless transition into Fall, are not only cut beautifully, they offer originality in their entire composition. The pieces are exquisitely detailed with lace and obvious delicate elements without being overtly feminine.
My favorites for Fall are the Lace Bolero – a cropped jacket with lace accents that will ward off the first chill of the season; and the Fauna Collar which offers an eclectic juxtaposition of ‘ladies who lunch’ and rock ‘n roll sensibility – the fur detail makes it a perfect accent for Fall. Not only is Alexis’ work beautiful – so is her site – so visit and enjoy – be sure to check out her amazing collection of Artwork as well!

finally stopped dressing for the boys :: vintage army handbag collection
First to recommend
Description
There is something ultra hip and delightfully divine about rough and rugged meets sweet and refined. That is the juxtaposition you will find at finally stopped dressing for the boys. Heather Stanley’s collections of unique handbags combines the utility and long wear of Army bags with lovely and unexpected accents such as sequins and lace. The result is not only an original design that compliments pretty much all of the goodies in your over-stuffed closet, but a bag that will never go out of style. The Origami Clutch is made of a recycled Army duffle bag – a simple and sensible fold over design makes it irresistible – and the glorious finishing touch is an overlay of golden Indian silk; the Narnia Messenger is also a retooled Army duffle featuring the ultra-practical shape of a messenger – the bag is highlighted with silver sequins and lace details – glam meets utilitarian – and I can’t get enough!

Description
The handmade embellishments on these clutches by Krista Raak are simply divine. And though her pieces are overtly feminine - they are such intricate, detailed and heartfelt pieces of work, I can image wanting to carry it everywhere - regardless of what I am wearing!
