Badgley Mischka Platinum Label - Ombré Chiffon Gown

Description
The subtle shift of colors always has held a certain fascination for me. I don't know if it's the gradient shift or if it's the allusion it holds me in, but I always am happy when it pops up in fashion. And this dress, this dress has me captivated by it's shimmering waves of blue, azure and cerulean. As a rule I don't like long summer dresses, but this chiffon gown is so serene and tranquil with it's illusion of shimmering water.

Oh, I want this dress. I don't normally like long dresses, but this flowing dress has captured my interest. I think it's the very earthy feel to it. This dress almost feels like a flower blooming forth. Subtle greens that transition deeper before it burst into that pretty tulip pink--definitely a spring dress...definitely something that I would find an occasion to wear.

I'm a pink girl. I love pink in all of it's forms. And this dress which celebrates all that is pink from the subtlest blush of baby pink at the bottom all the way up to the dark deep intriguing pink at the top is amazing. Add to fabric I'm already in love with a smattering of sequins and simple yet elegant cut and you have a dress I'm slight infatuated with.

Ombre seems to bring out the long formal dress in designers it seems, but ombre can be fun too! This lighter than air silk ombre sundress is perfect for gadding about town on those sunny spring and warn summer days. The colors (a buttery yellow and pastel-y green blue) are happy colors.

Description
Ah, yellow. Yellow really is such a spring color and when highlight on this adorable little minidress as it melts from sunflower, to sunshine to butter you can't help but want to wear it. This Alice + Olivia dress is more than just ombre though, it's toped with rosettes across the top, lest you fade away with the gently melting colors.

Description
Most ombres I've seen take advantage of moving dark colors into lighter versions of the same color or vice versa. This long belted ombre gown shakes it up a bit by moving dark colors into darker colors. Even though it's a dark dress, it's clearly meant for summer. Can't you see this gorgeous dress fluttering after you as you walk past a tiki lighted pool?

Ombre is not just for parties though. Say I wanted to bring a splash of ombre to work (casual fridays of course). Dkny ombre skirt might be just the thing. In work appropriate colors (ah, the glories of black and gray) and had a suitable length, I'm seeing this skirt with a black cardigan set (air conditioning makes offices cold in the summer!).

If navy blue thrills you like it thrills me, you might find this ombre skirt to your liking. It takes my two favorite blues (navy and cerulean) and shimmers between them. Toss in a splash of grey, a skirt that hits below my knee and you have something that could become a summer staple for me!

Again, back to my love of all things purple, I'm loving the combo of the aqua blue with the violet purple. I think the twist of the halter neck of the two colors just adds to the shirt's overall fabness!

One of the things I find fascinating about dip dyed items is that they resemble so many things, gradiating blues might look like a water fall and gradiating reds and oranges like this dip dyed summer dress look like a sunrise. The shift of colors in this dress is bound to be a perfect summer time sundress...after sunsrise till before.
