About this list:

The onset of fall makes me crave new school supplies: notebooks, pencils, laptop, highlighters, clothes and a giant locker to stow it all. Happens same time, every year. That's right. I'm addicted to school. So, this is my list of what I would love to have in that imaginary locker of mine . . .

Qualifications:

Many years in school under my belt; still want more.

tiny prints: Smart Owl Thank You Cards

First to recommend

Description

It's never too early to learn how to write a thank-you note . . . and these fill-in-the-blank cards are a great way to get your elementary-age child into the habit. They are also a clever way to introduce your child to the mechanics and vocabulary of letter writing in general. A great back to school gift . . . and the incentive to write that first thank-you note independently.

Note-taking just became a little more interesting now that the Savannah College of Art and Design has applied some of its considerable talent to designing easy to carry, whimsically illustrated notebooks. Depending upon your grade level, you may want to invest in more than a few to keep you motivated the whole year through.

Description

Although these gummy bears are cute enough to eat, they are much more useful if you resist the temptation. Functioning as both pencil sharpener and eraser, you will want to have one in your bag and one at home and a few to keep in reserve to help out a friend in need.

VivaTerra: Vintage Ruler Chair

First to recommend

Description

Rulers gain a second life in the form of this handsome desk chair. Although I do not believe sitting on it will make you learn any faster, it will certainly provide an inch or two of inspiration. Make it a matched set and you have yourself a bargain, too.
