About this list:

The onset of fall makes me crave new school supplies: notebooks, pencils, laptop, highlighters, clothes and a giant locker to stow it all. Happens same time, every year. That's right. I'm addicted to school. So, this is my list of what I would love to have in that imaginary locker of mine . . .

Qualifications:

Many years in school under my belt; still want more.

The Elements of Style Illustrated by William Strunk, E.B. White and Maira Kalman

First to recommend

Description

Strunk and White's "Elements of Style" was my trusty, although often murky, guide to grammar and good sentence construction throughout high school and college. With the help of the insightful and often comedic illustrations of Maira Kalman, the genius of the guide becomes more fully accessible and infinitely more understandable. I highly recommend it for students and professional writers alike.

Description

Leather only gets better with time so it is a wonder that more designers aren't turning to recycled leather for new product designs. Well, Ashley Watson has already figured all of this out and created a gorgeous line of bags, wallets and accessories. This agenda cover is perfect for back-to-school and will come with a supple, already-been-broken-in feel.

In a plaid that is not terribly mad and a cotton/rayon fabric that is just right for early fall, this coat will work with both jeans and dresses. And the generous cut gives you room to play, too.
