Thirty-Five Year Collection of Top 100 45 RPM Records

3 people recommended this item

Description

I'm officially in love with anyone who has this, which just so happens to be none of you because it cost a whopping 275k. However, it has to be more worth it than any number of frivolous things ridiculously rich people spend their money.

What is it? A collection of every vinyl single that was in the Billboard top 100 from Jan. 1955 through December 31, 1990. Yes, every one. That's about 18,400 records.

Octopus Cake Pan

9 people recommended this item

Description

I have a strange fixation with Octopuses. Octopi? Octo-thingies. Anyhow, this Octopus cake pan sure would have made my birthdays a lot more fun when I was a kid.

Why do I love them so much? I have no clue. But I'm sure a cake like this will either delight your child, or possibly freak them out. Either way, it looks delicious. (via Cooking Gadgets)

Star Trek The Next Generation Uniform Shirt Costume (Red)

First to recommend

Description

Disp-ensign, this is the one you want to sport if you're feeling really invincible that day. Or maybe you're just suicidal. Either way, I hate to burst your bubble, but "red shirt" is just a nice way of saying "human shield" without raising hackles at Amnesty Intergalactic. Who knew that the Federation was so out of compliance with the Geneva Convention?

Liquid Smoking

First to recommend

Description

Liquid Smoking is a beverage, much like Red Bull, that mimics for the drinker the feeling of having smoked a cigarette but without the smoke or the nicotine. Through the use of an "indigenous African herbal extract," Liquid Smoking, according to the site, "has a slight energizing effect, followed by a sense of calming and relaxation." With many states recently having imposed a ban on indoor smoking, the company hopes that bars will pick up the beverage as a new mixer. I wonder if I could use this stuff to get my dad to quit smoking....

No, I'm not kidding. Because I just couldn't make this up. You know... for "testing your Geiger counter." Apparently, people who dig this also dig Futurama, Forbidden LEGO, and Damien Rice. Profiling, anyone?

The Slanket

Description

I'm being quite useful. This thing is a Thneed.
A Thneed's a Fine-Something-That-All-People-Need!
It's a shirt. It's a sock. It's a glove. It's a hat.
But it has OTHER uses. Yes, far beyond that.
You can use it for carpets. For pillows! For sheets!
Or curtains! Or covers for bicycle seats!
