I think this little gift is not for everyone. Yes, it is simple and should remind us how simply beautiful life is, but for the artist in your life, it also makes a statement on how controlling we are...especially with nature. We must grab, take, contain and display. Sound like a bad thing instead of a good gift? Again, it's not a bad thing for an artist - they know how to think about it. It is thought provoking and could potentially inspire their art.
No need to feel sorry for the little piece of moss if harvested responsibly.

This is truly amazing. I've worked with lots of deceased insects (collection) before and I don't understand how the hell she did this. This woman is an amazing artist - no doubt. You don't have to be an entomologist to appreciate this art. Comes framed with bead-ecked matchbox. The poem provided is so worth visiting her site.
