Wish Big - a list by hanahula

About this list:
This holiday season we may not be able to have a no-holds-barred gift fest. But some things are free: a chance to think about what and whom matters most to us; having to buy fewer (or no!) batteries; rejoicing in your own traditions (like singing carols at the top of your lungs and group hugs); and wishing BIG. So, herein you will find ideas for nearly everyone who might be on this year's list . . . and a few for you, too.
Qualifications:
I'm the sing-at-the-top-of-your-lungs kind of girl.

Vermont Snowflakes: Lantern Slide Quote Panel by William A. Bentley
First to recommend
Description
Perhaps you have only ever dreamed of snowflakes or now live in a part of the world in which they rarely appear. Or maybe you have seen so many that they have ceased to be a novelty. Practicing before the turn of the twentieth century, Wilson A. (Snowflake) Bentley photographed snowflakes from the Great Blizzard of 1888, as well as numerous other snowfalls. His work is notable for its detail, precision and variety. As he said, "In this inexhaustible storehouse of crystal treasures, what a delight is in store for all future lovers of snowflakes, and of the beautiful in nature." Snowflakes immortalized. Good gifting.

PhotoStamps Collections
First to recommend
Description
For the person who says they need or want nothing, I say "Stamps !" Personalize with the recipient's favorite team or university or, in the case of grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc., upload a favorite family photo. The quality of the stamps is superb. So, good in fact, that they may just want to save one for framing. Better yet, they may request them specifically when the next holiday comes around. Good gifting.

The "Tiger" was the first shoe created by Asics founding father, Kihachiro Onitsuka, while "Tokidoki" is the whimsical anime-inspired artwork of Simone Legno. Red Wellington Boots by Hunter
First to recommend
Description
Ever practical, she cannot be wooed by something warm and fuzzy or pretty and decorative. No, she prefers something she will really use while gardening, bird-watching, dog-walking, or doing research for her latest field guide. She won't care that they have lately become all the rage in certain circles. She will appreciate their good quality, reliability and serviceability. And a spot of color. Good gifting.

Chiasso: Peace Sign Wreath

Description
Not only is this an ecumenical wreath, it is also faux. So you can use it every year with the satisfaction of knowing that you are treading lightly on our planet. And, at this 50th anniversary of the peace symbol, you are spreading the joy as well. Good gifting (and getting.)

Williamsburg Marketplace: Freshwater Pearl Jewelry
First to recommend
Description
Believed to first have been traded to the pilgrims by the father of Pocahontas, freshwater pearls are an American classic. In a trio of holiday colors (chocolate, raspberry and cranberry), this classic now takes on a more modern mien. Necklaces, bracelets and earrings are available in each rich color. Buy a complete set for the classic beauties in your family. Good gifting.
