fabulous! this great little clock, while not outright romantic, is definitely going on my Valentine's Day list. any boy that gave me this clock for Valentine's Day would deserve a kiss on the cheek for being so environmentally conscious, and for knowing i am too. this is a super neat device!

Wedge Worldwide Fair Trade Oriental Recycled Rug

It is hard to believe this is recycled plastic! It could be used indoors or out. What a statement to make for recycling. Fair-trade, Thailand.

Wow! This is so cool. These are 100% recycled plastic "with at least 65% Stonyfield Farm yogurt cups." We love that yogurt and to know the containers take on a second life is so awesome. Now, is this a reason to throw out my perfectly good razor right now? NO! But when I do, I'll know where to go. I've found that replacing items with sustainable or recycled material as I need them is much easier than going out trying to buy everything all at once. (via idealbite.com)

RADIUS Source Toothbrush

Description
Ok, I've been using this for almost a month now and what I thought was going to be awkward turns out to be comfortable. That hump in the handle........melts right into your palm. And the medium brush is more like soft, which my dentist recommended. Overall: Happy
"Replaceable head toothbrush with renewable resource handle. Wood Fiber blended with PLA, a plastic derived entirely from Nebraska maize. The resulting material is 100% renewal resource."
It is kind of silly that we must throw away an entire toothbrush. I'm not sure how much impact this would have, but it states something about how one prefers to live. (via PLENTY Magazine)

Description
If going organic seems too intimidating, start with what is termed the "Dirty Dozen". The "Dozen" is the first twelve on EWG's list of fruits and vegetables with the highest pesticide load (peaches being #1). If shopping, AT LEAST, buy these organic. The last twelve are the "safest" (#45 being onions).
It's a start, but it encourages awareness of what you are eating.
Although, I look forward to shopping at the farmer's market every week (when it's in season). You are most likely buying organic there AND supporting local farmers. Your choices matter!

Get Hip Get Green - Reusable Bag

Description
Ok, so am I saying that to be in the "IN" crowd you have to own one of these? I'm totally NOT hip, but maybe it does arouse those shopping types that like to be a part of a something.
Be green or go home!! Seriously, I dare you to go without plastic bags for a month - it's hard, like training yourself to eat healthy, but I'm doing it! (via Green Mom Finds)

I love the idea of spreading the word with something we wear. They have adult and children sizes. How awesome would it be to see a three year old claiming she saved a life?

Charlie's Soap - Laundry Powder
9 people recommended this item
Description
I've been using this for over a year now and I probably won't ever switch detergents again. For two people (with one whom goes through lots of clothes), two little bags have lasted us almost 6 months. I regret all those repeated purchases of big plastic tubs of chemicals. This comes down to common sense. A 3 lb. bag is good for 80 loads!

Jack Johnson, my love. I have been with him from the beginning. Totally cool ass dude. Awesome music. This is a man that walks the walk. He produced this album with 100% solar power and the CD case is 100% post consumer recycled paper.
