Description
Amazon says this is the "book of the decade" and though I haven't read every book written in this decade, I agree this is the closest of the ones I have read. I'm not enamored of vampires, don't follow the Gothic culture and don't get hot and bothered over literary vampire porn masquerading as contemporary romance novels. But this is an amazing book. Well-written and every scene is perfect. Though Meyer's central character Bella is a tad off (you never quite get what it is about her that makes the vampire Edward fall in love with her), it all still somehow fits. I'm a writer and so I have the unfortunate habit of critiquing books as I read them, automatically figuring out how I would have phrased things differently. I was absolutely immersed in this book. I went into the store to buy a Blackberry, but walked out with this instead. My mom asked what features it had, and I replied "I don't know, but it's purple." Lucky for me, it's actually a great phone. Easy to use, the volume is great and it even comes with a camera and video camera. I get good reception in most places and the calls are very clear. The Web browsing is very fast and easier to navigate than most phones that aren't an iPhone or Smart phone (via Motorola)

I went to Sydney, Australia last year and like an idiot, the only shoes I brought along were the heels I walk from cab to cab wearing in NYC. Big mistake, as my Sydney friends thought nothing of walking home every night for half an hour. By the third day, I had overcome my fear of flip-flops ("They just leave your feet so exposed") and confiscated a pair of Havaianas from one of my friends. The rest is history. These are the greatest flip-flops ever, and they look cute with everything. I wore them with jeans, shorts and tube dresses. Oddly enough, it always matched. Plus, Havaianas come in pretty much every color known to man. (via Havaianas)

I have an iPod and it is the greatest thing ever (listening to "Blister in the Sun" by the Violent Femmes makes being packed like a sardine into a stuffy subway car more bearable). However, mine isn't pink. And I feel it really, really needs to be. This is a great Valentine's Day gift! If you want to get seriously sentimental, you can even pre-load it with a little Alicia Keyes and some Air Supply. Just kidding, don't load it with Air Supply. You might get it thrown at you and it's too cute for that. (via Apple Store)

I had these in the darker color until one of my light-fingered cousins absconded with it. She left in a flurry of Designer Imposters perfume so I didn't have the heart to demand them back. I picked up the lighter pair but gave them to my mom when she tried them on and realized she looked fabulous. My point is, these sunglasses are classy, sturdy and the perfect size. Also, they block out the sun which is great for those days when you're having a Britney moment and want to look good while you're hungover. (via Bergdorf Goodman)

Description
Shea butter in general is a blessing to the skin but this particular body cream is wonderful. The scent is light (some shea butters carry too strong of a vanilla-nut-wax smell) yet it moisturizes your skin very well. My skin can get very dry and cracked during the winter so I make sure to alays have a tube handy. A plane ticket to a warmer climate would also fix that issue though. (via Bath and Body Works)

This sunblock is great for people like me who get grossed out by that sticky feeling that regular sunblock leaves. It's also very quick and easy to use, and provides great protection against the sun's harmful rays. There are some sunblocks that claim a high SPF but don't work, Coppertone is a trusted brand.

Description
My friend won one of these and decided he didn't want to carry anything larger than a Shuffle. Thus, I inherited it. Woot! The iPod touch is great. Stores more music than you'll ever be able to download, keeps your calendar, stores other multimedia AND a host of other features. The regular iPod may be cuter (I'm a sucker for cute things and nice packaging) but the iPod touch has a lot of useful functions.
