DIY Hair - from cut to color - a list by VaFashionista

About this list:

I am the queen of DIY beauty as far as doing my own hair. I hate going to overpriced salons to have them f up my hair! None of them know how to do it right, so I taught myself, in highschool, how to dye, fry, blowdry, perm/relax, cut, trim and higlight my own hair! The results, fabulous! This is a list of items you need to do your hair at home

BW2 Powder Lightener

First to recommend

Description

OK, for at home hair lightening, highlighting or bleaching, you wil need just one packet of this Clairol Powder lightener. This stuff:
Creates lustrous highlights and special effects in no time
Dedusted to minimize powder fly-away
Forms a rich, creamy consistency that is easy to handle

Always, always use a timer when applying bleach to your hair! You don't want it to get too light!

I always keep a bottle of this creme developer handy as it stays fresh for 3 years. This developer worls great with the powder lightener and mixes well to form a creamy consistency that is easily spreadable. It also has added conditioners to protect your hair. This is for bowl and brush application.

Glamour Frosting Cap

First to recommend

Description

You always need an extra frosting cap laying around if you are a DIY hair diva. I love this one simply because of the name - Glamour Cap - LOL! Also, it has a stylish star pattern! What's not to love! Really, but this cap is designed with a protective brim to prevent drips and runs AND it is self sealing to protect the scalp from chemicals.
