DIY Hair - from cut to color - a list by VaFashionista

About this list:
I am the queen of DIY beauty as far as doing my own hair. I hate going to overpriced salons to have them f up my hair! None of them know how to do it right, so I taught myself, in highschool, how to dye, fry, blowdry, perm/relax, cut, trim and higlight my own hair! The results, fabulous! This is a list of items you need to do your hair at home

Jazzing Sheer Haircolor
First to recommend
Description
I have been using this stuff for YEARS! The reason I love it so much is because it is safe to use on all chemically processed and colored hair. I use it to kick up my color job a notch, I use it for higlites, or I just use it as an all over color that is NOT permanent! Jazzing by Clairol is sheer color! It gives you first timers a hint of color or you DIY hair divas, WOW color! It's also awesome b/c it.is.not.permanent! Also, you can apply this color directly to freshly relaxed hair and not have to worry that your hair will fall out.

Description
I am also a fan of this hair color by Beautiful Collection. This hair color is specially formulated for "relaxed or textured hair. It enhances natural color, blends gray and comes in 15 gorgeous shades." Contains Aloe Vera and vitamin E for superior conditioning.
All tones are excellent for refreshing color treated hair. **No ammonia formula allows use immediately after relaxers** - another definite plus! Also For longer lasting results or enhancing gray, cover with a plastic bag and process under a warm dryer for 10 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes then rinse.

Beautiful Beginnings No-Lye Conditioning Relaxer System for Children
First to recommend
Description
Yes that is a child's relaxer kit pictured and no, I am not a child, but my hair is very delicate and the adult relaxers are too harsh! I use Beautiful Beginnings box relaxer kit for my tresses! These kits designed for kids I find are more moisturizing and not as harsh for my hair. My hair only needs a little bit of help so I go to the kid kits for my relaxers.

Carol's Daughter Healthy Hair Butter

Description
Carols Daughter Healthy Hair Butter has been an AWESOME and integral part to my healthy hair regimen! Not only does this stuff smell DIVINE (blend of essential oils of lavender, rosemary, and ylang-ylang), This creamy butter softens the hair, minimizes breakage, and conditions with nourishing shea butter, almond oil, and cocoa butter, making it a perfect choice for the whole family! I love this stuff! But, depending on your hair type, don't put TOO much on or your hair will feel a bit heavy.
