About this list:
Born but not raised in LA, I have been back in town for over six years and am here to share my favorites in La La Land. People say Los Angeles lacks culture, but we do have plenty to offer that you won't find in Us Weekly.

Description
This acai, acerola, pomegranate & blueberry flavored vodka celebrates the creative spirit and natural flavors found in Los Angeles.
My personal favorite Absolut LA cocktail can be found at new Hollywood hot spot The Stork. The Blueberry Mint Gimlet (created by ABSOLUT Mixologist Lauren Rinkey) is a party for your mouth!

Bar Marmont

Description
If you're not ready for the fanciest night at Chateau Marmont (which is utterly fabulous), I recommend heading next door to Bar Marmont. It's more relaxed, lively, and equally chic. Recently redesigned, come see the new menu and new decor. It's just always going to be great. Serves dinner or drinks, or both.

Description
Any true shopper in LA has spent her weekends shlepping to Shareen's warehouse of vintage treasures. I hate to share the secret, but it's my job to keep you all well-dressed and happy. Plus, you won't meet too many proprietors like dear Shareen - she's fabulous.

If you love popcorn, you'll love popstar. With varieties of kettle corn, carmel corn, cheese popcorn, and colored popcorn to suit every taste bud, Elana Blank's gourmet kettle corn company is becoming a quick hit in Los Angeles. You can catch her popcorn stand at farmers markets around town, or hire her crew for a private event.

Sprinkles Cupcakes
47 people recommended this item
Description
Sprinkles cupcakes can be ordered ahead and picked up, or delivered locally (right now, I only know of the Beverly Hills and Newport Beach locations).
Now, I have to put a disclaimer here because I don't like the way the Sprinkles Cupcakes taste. However, there is a very large contingent of die-hard fans that finds the solid, dense cake covered with an impossibly thick layer of saccharin sweet frosting utterly addictive.
What I DO like about Sprinkles Cupcakes is that they are adorably decorated. The cupcakery will work with you to appropriately decorate cupcakes for any occasion, too. Of course, since there ARE people who go into ecstatic frenzy over the things, I don't mind buying them as gifts or for a party. (I just look, but don't touch). (via sprinkles cupcakes)

Hillary Rush Boutique
First to recommend
Description
No trip to LA is complete without a stop at Hillary Rush's namesake boutique on W. 3rd St. The whole street is fantastic, full of fun shops and eateries, but Hillary really knows how to keep a boutique hip and chic. She brought J Brands to LA, dresses starlets of all ages, and has a cute little pup running around her store. Get ready to splurge, you won't be able to stop yourself from indulging in her clothes and jewelry finds.

Description
Sorry Pinkberry, we can only stand your tart frozen "yogurt" every so often. Our love for 21 Choices frozen yogurt will never die. They mix up the yummiest concoctions of any ingredients we can imagine. Even the base flavors are perpetually changes and absolutely delicious. With shops in both Old Town Pasadena and Claremont, it's well worth the trip to your nearest location.
