I'm lucky, I've only lost one dog once. Well, maybe twice. This thing could be useful, if only it had a remote for "return home NOW!"

Sustainable Dog Dens

Description
My friend Aaron was over the other night and kept bugging me about "Hey, you have to look at my friend Stephanie's site. She makes great sustainable dog houses." Being a product person, I get this a lot. So I was invisibly rolling my eyes.
Then I went to check it out.
Awesome stuff. I love the hard architectural elements of the structures integrated with the soft beauty of the plants. Not just a pretty doggie digg, Oakland designer Stephanie Rubin thought this out quite well. She designed the units smell good, grow plants, attract butterflies, filter water, insulate, and repel fleas. All naturally. Bravo.
However, at $6,000 (that's for the extra large, and I have two so make that $12,000), I'm not sure I would let my dogs near one.

Custom Needle Felted Likeness of Your Dog

Description
Okay... This should totally spook me. It's kinda freaky! A replica of your dog. But at the same time, it's kinda cute, in a funky way. Am I crazy?
I think it's really cool someone is able to do this, though. As long as they keep it to dogs. I've seen the baby replica services, and THAT is way too spooky for me.

3-Wheel Electric Trike
First to recommend
Description
Yesterday I was just saying how I want an electric tricycle to "walk my dogs" with, because they need a lot more exercise than the regular walks we give them. A two-wheel bicycle is scary. They're 120 lbs each, so my vision of crashing violently on the streets of Oakland may be more reality than dream.
Today I found this electric three-wheel trike from Rapture. It's cool! It's street legal, has a 20-mile range, and can go up to 15 MPH.
I want one!

Sawyer Insect Repellent Clothing Treatment
First to recommend
Description
If you've been attacked by chiggers while hiking or have experienced skin allergies related to your dogs, then you definitely should try this. I can't believe after more than a year of dermatologist visits and researching solutions for my skin allergies (not to mention the thousand of dollars in Vet bills that resulted in zero help) - I finally found out about Sawyer's permethrin products. Permethrin is a lotion mainly prescribed by doctors for scabies, but what is less known is it also works as reppellent and insecticide for mosquitoes, flies, chiggers, mites, etc. Sawyer developed this product with the military - they use permethrin to soak their uniforms and tents. The repellent works for 14 days after soak. It is completely safe to use on skin (accordingly, of course). Works for dogs too. However, it is poisonous to cats.

I am laughing the entire way through this product post. This dog's hair! So cute! I love how they moved the polo icon to the collar, which makes sense. When they stand up, the chest is hidden. Hee hee hee. Funny.

Dog Mud Magnet Paw Cleaning Glove
First to recommend
Description
This is the first time I've seen this ingenious washing glove for dogs! The glove can quickly be converted into a mitt and used as a sponge. Made of microfiber wash fabric, it has the ability to attract and remove mud without the use of water. Important! The extra pad on the palm helps with larger surfaces. I can't wait to get this!
