Description

Looking at this bouquet I like to imagine that we are in some secret garden where instead of reeds, roses grow like cattails on the side of rivers. The bright orange so full of life looks like it belongs in this crystal clear river (even though roses and rivers don't naturally mix!).

I know that you can never really bring the outside indoors, but I still have a weakness for grass in floral arrangements. Take this floral arrangement for example, it looks like a hidden nook from a garden with the ivy, grass and low roses...but it's indoor in a woven basket. Very fresh, very spring!

Vera Wang Summer Fever Calla Lily

Description

Unlike some of the more structured bouquets I've recommended, this bouquet has been boiled down to it's essence it's only calla lilies, water and a vase. But because of the simplicity the flowers shine. Calla lilies don't need a lot of decoration to start with, but when stripped down to their color alone, it highlights every curves and color swell.

Description

Red might be the color of anger, but it's also the color of happiness and in this orchid bouquet it's definitely the happiness that wins out. Again, it's just the orchids in this bouquet and that lets them not be overwhelmed by anything else. And in themselves they find beauty and strength.

I'll be honest, normally I really dislike carnations. I don't know why, but I've just never particularly enjoyed them. But in a whimsical summer arrangement like this ice cream cone (ice cream cone!) of flowers their homogeneous nature works really well.

I received this bouquet once (or one very similar). And you know I still use the colander it came in? The colander makes the floral arrangement able to be remembered anytime you make pasta or boil potatoes or wash strawberries. It's far more memorable then just another glass vase.

Who said ombre was only in clothes this season? Well perhaps no one, but I was pleasantly surprised to see a bit of the dip dye mimicked in a floral arrangement. Pretty and so fashion forward!

Todd Oldham Houndstooth Baking Dish

As you may have guessed, I like arrangements that don't come in glass vases and even better I like arrangements that give me something I'll use again. This pretty arrangement by Todd Oldham comes in a baking dish! That would make the arrangement pretty killer to start with, but then you add lilies, carnations and a whole host of other flowers to make a buttery yellow and green arrangement.
