Food Map Container

Description
Love the portability of this container. Also, it's better to grow above ground if you don't know what's lurking in your soil (well, that's how it goes for L.A./city gardeners, anyway).
Good for cold climate gardeners who need to bring plants inside on frosty nights, too. (via Daily Candy)

Women's Thunderbird Tan Suede Boat Sole Moccasin
First to recommend
Description
Moccasins. Minnetonka Moccasins, no less. Unexpectedly but wholly obsessed out of the blue with this moccasin. An anti-gladiator reflex? Perhaps. But a Great Lakes-chic look by which I'm willing to stand. To round out the look, a copy of Jim Harrison's luminous Returning to Earth and Grand Valley State University New Music Ensemble's Stephen Reich's Music for 18 Musicians as a soundtrack. Or some Prince.

Wooden LED Clock
33 people recommended this item
Description
I would like to meet the genius who dreamt up shining an LED clock THROUGH wood. Through it! As if it were transparent! Unreal... and so elegantly matched with the other lovely wood things in your home.
You can turn off the clock so the object becomes merely a lovely wood block... and them flip on the LED display when time is of the essence.
ThisNext has one in its development office... which causes the rest of us much jealousy. (via UncommonGoods)

Moleskine Notebook
99 people recommended this item
Description
Found an "extreme Moleskine hack" on pigpog.com wherein you attach a second bookmark “to keep track of where you’re up to, so you can quickly open it and make a note. The only ‘clever’ part is that you have another bookmark, which marks the point at which you’ve dealt with everything in some way. Doesn’t matter if you’ve actually done the things, or just made a note of them elsewhere - as long as you’ve processed them in some way, so you don’t need to look at them again.” There’s more to it… read the full post (click the "via") if you’re ready to really geek out with Post-It tags and a ruler.
Interesting... Inspiring... Possibly threatening to bring order to your universe. (via PigPog)

Canson Field Sketchbooks
First to recommend
Description
My go-to work notebook for years. I have a drawer full of used ones at home. I've used them as journals and for work. I have on occasion been seduced by a signature-bound Italian book or a smaller field notebook but always come back to these because:
1-Spiral bound stays open without a paperweight/hands.
2-With the hard cover you don't have to be at your desk.
3-7X10 size is big enough but not too big.
4-Black is always the new black.
5-To me, lines are suffocating.
