Adidas Microbounce+ LT

2 people recommended this item

Description

It's called Microbounce for a very good reason. The entire bottom of this high-tech runner is set for maximum bounce, giving you a comfortable, energy packed ride so you can run your run. The sides are nearly see-through breathable mesh for air circulation. The heel is clear with a removable color swatch and removable shock absorbing insole. The reason these shoes actually bounce is thanks to the adiprene bottom with flex grooves. It is by far the most comfortable show I've ever owned and helps a great deal with foot stability, support, and cushion.

Nike Cropped Hoody Sweater

First to recommend

Description

This womens cropped sweater is reversible, front-zip, satin lined and fitted. Originally designed for dance it can be use for a run or even as a casual top. The unique factor in this cute hoody is the Dri-FIT high-performance technology. The fabric actually pulls sweat away from the body and transports it to the fabric surface - where it evaporates and leaves the skin cool and dry. This would be a great gift for a health inspired woman!

Tanita BC533 Scale

First to recommend

Description

This is the best fitness gadget I've ever purchased. The price is reasonable and the warranty is great. Tanita is a company who supplies many health clubs and professional athletes with their scales because they are the best. This specific model will record up to 4 people daily. You start by entering statistics which the scale remembers such as age, height, activity level, etc. Next when you weight yourself you are given:

Weight
Body Fat Percentage
Body Water Percentage
Muscle Mass in Pounds
Bone Mass
Metabolic Age
How many calories you need to eat to maintain your current weight

It's amazing because you can tweak your workout if you happen to be losing muscle instead of fat. You can keep an eye on your bone health and hydration as well as your metabolism. It's a great tool, the best thing I've found to really progress my weightloss. A regular scale just cannot compete even slightly. And, it's modernly stylish as well in rounded clear glass.

Nutri-weigh Dietary Computer Scale

First to recommend

2 people recommended this item

Description

This is a pretty amazing piece of equipment compared to your standard digital kitchen scale. It analyzes the nutritional content of your food by portion size which is key with many foods that cannot be measured by liquid ounces with measuring cups such as meats, veggies, and pastas. It also has a database of over 1430 foods and can memorize additional recipes of your own so while you get a weight for the item it also calculates calories, protein, carbs, total sugars, total fat. fiber, sodium, cholesterol, and net carbs. This virtually eliminates any need to use an supplementary nutrition tracker online because you have it at your fingertips.

Note that along with general health uses it can also be used for anyone with medical dietary needs and for adequate measurements while making baby foods.

BODYBUGG

3 people recommended this item

Description

The Bodybugg is what you see most fitness instructors at the gym walking around wearing on their arm. I found out about this after seeing most the gym-rats toting one around and I had to ask. Often confused for an MP3 player it's actually a much more intelligent gadget.

It is the only way outside of a clinical setting to track your calorie expendature throughout the entire day. If you aren't a scale person, this might be for you. It has 4 advanced sensors that track exactly how many calories you have burned in a given day by any and all activities so you can adjust your eating habits or workout to achieve your desired goals. The amazing this about the bodybugg is that while it's a big purchase and quite expensive it is the most advanced monitor you can purchase as far as calories expenditure. Something like a pedometer cannot come close to being accurate as it doesn't take into account your skin temperature, body signals and whether you are sitting or standing.

The bodybugg also comes with software that will graph your daily expenditure for you and many other little tools and tweaks for a daily healthy lifestyle.

Sole E25 Elliptical Trainer

First to recommend

Description

This is the best elliptical you can buy for under $1000 and a staple of my workout routine. Who doesn't want to use a machine that is a mix between a treadmill and stair stepper yet easy on the joints. It is commercial grade and the favorite of many hotel chains such as Hilton. While working at a Hilton Garden Inn I came across this machine and have to say if it works on guest after guest, just imagine how it'd hold up in your own home. It's also whisper quiet, well made, and full of extras nearly all in the same price range fail to offer.

Now, onto the goodies, the E25 includes:
a backlit LED display
built in cooling fan
water bottle holder
built in speakers that allow hook up to any mp3 player(ipod, etc)
wireless heart rate monitoring
foot pedals designed to adjust to your height and weight

Nike Women's Skirted Capri Pant

First to recommend

Description

Who doesn't want to look cute while getting in a work-out? I do, that is why I had to buy these when I came across them. The pants are a stretch capri. You can also gather the skirt at the waistband for more variety with wear. And, best of all it's made with Nike's Dri-FIT fabric that draws sweat away from your body for quick evaporation as if it was never there. These are not only fabulous but also functional and that is hard to find in the world of work-out clothing.

Nike Women's Hachiko Shrug

First to recommend

Description

This is an adorable little shrug for warm-up or cool-down after a workout or dance class. It's made with stretchy knit, wraps in the front to tie and has extra long sleeves with little holes for your thumbs. As a dancer myself I love anything that wraps close to the body and has long sleeves to snuggle up. As is Nike's functional form they also made the shrug out of Dri-FIT fabric that absorbs sweat from your body and quickly evaporates it into the air to keep you dry and comfy. Personally, I also wear this over a tank top if it's a chilly evening and it easily passes as daytime clothing.

Lululemon Reverse Groove Pant

Description

You might recognize these as the pant that Katie Holmes wore to run the NYC Marathon. They are made by up and coming fitness designer LuLu Lemon and are a great addition to any workout. You'll see pretty much every celebrity(including Madonna) rocking these at the gym for anything from yoga to spinning class. They are reversible, have a flattering fit and waistband, fitted bootcut and cute cute cute.

Nike Annie Springs Halter

First to recommend

Description

This is a sleek, sexy top with a built in bra and cinch detail with ties for length adjustability. Dri-FIT fabric breathes and wicks moisture and it is made with a stretch knit. The color of this halter is lemon with lava(dark charcoal) stitching and a nice switch from the usual tank top while working out or having fun in the sun.
