Frederic Fekkai Glossing Cream, With Pure Olive Oil

Description

This is the best leave in conditioner I have ever used. I used it (about 2-2.5 pea’s worth) on my damp hair, as well as my dry hair to shine, condition and smooth. My hair is very thick, with dry, wiry ends. I first applied it to my wet hair, and if I had time, would blow dry with a diffuser, and then applied it again to my dry hair. Each and every time I had always super soft and sleek hair and my ends never felt greasy. I also had great results when I air-dried it on the weekends.

The effects lasted all day and the cream smells nice as well. What I also loved is that with this product it replaces my regular leave-in conditioner and my shine serum with one product. I've found that when I use it I don't get noticeable frizz anymore, plus my hair is super shiny and manageable. If I'm doing an updo or a more involved blow out I can use an extra pea on my dry hair to smooth down any unruly hairs and my hair. Great product!

Note: Take note not to use too much product as it may make your hair feel too sticky. Also, this product works best with naturally straight and wavy hair. (via Palacinka)

Vive Pro Smooth Intense Conditioner for Dry, Frizzy Fine Hair

First to recommend

Description

I cannot believe how right L’Oreal got it with this product! I have fine but dry relaxed hair that can get very frizzy, especially in the summer months.

One of the first things I noticed about this conditioner is that is has a very nice, light, clean scent. It’s not overpowering or cloying whatsoever. It did a great job conditioning my hair without weighing it down or making it feel greasy/sticky.

For me, there's a fine line between moisturizing dry relaxed hair and slathering it hair in oil and L'Oreal Vive Pro Smooth Intense For Frizzy Hair really has that perfect balance.

It left my hair so easy to comb out while wet and my blow outs were so much smoother and softer. Even when I let my hair air dry I could feel and see the difference in my hair. After continued use, I could still see the benefits and did not develop any product buildup -- which is a pet peeve of mine with some drugstore brands.

Try it, you won't be disappointed. Excellent product for the price! (via walgreens)

Elasta QP Relaxer

Description

First, some background. I have very curly hair--like, Cree Summer curly, but very dry. I wanted it straight but still with a bit of wave in it. I was happy that this kit included a very deep conditioning product, and that it also had a lot of natural plant extracts in it to keep hair healthy. For the de-frizz factor alone I recommend this product. After using the product, As I said, my hair was in excellent condition, so after about two days I could no longer tell it had been processed. Currently, may hair feels wonderful and it looks very nice, and yes I actually did notice more shine after using the product. I relaxed my hair about three weeks ago. Over all, I am very pleased with the product. (via Palacinka)

Phyto Plage Hydrating After Sun Mist with Sugar Cane Extract

First to recommend

Description

This spray offers very nice moisturizing and anti-frizz properties. On humid days, my thick hair goes bonkers. This definitely keeps the frizzies from taking over while keeping my hair looking natural and not at all styled with gobs of products. My favorite way of using this gel is to apply it to wet hair and then let my hair dry naturally.

It has a very subtle lovely scent that is almost imperceptible. I can't really tell if it actually protects my hair from the sun but it definitely helps keep my hair healthy looking. I have used up my tester tube and plan to buy more. (via Palacinka)

Peter Thomas Roth Max Anti-Shine Mattifying Gel

First to recommend

Description

Upon first impression, this thick gel smoothes on effortlessly and I can see an immediate matte effect even over my oily skin. It really does make your pores appear smaller and makes your skin very matte. You don't have to use much, so I'm sure this is going to last me a long time even though it's a small bottle. You can apply it under or over your makeup.

My face still got a little shiny by the end of the day, but when I blotted it away, the "soft" look remained throughout the day. It's a great little bottle that’s easy to toss in a (medium) sized makeup bag or keep at the office for touch ups. It also didn’t flake off on my skin the way some mattifyers can. I can't live without this product (via Palacinka)

Neutrogena Triple Moisture Healing Shine Serum

Description

I've head a lot of good things about this line, so I really was excited to try it. I have to say that I have tried a LOT of shine serums over the years, and I have been pleased but not overwhelmed with any of them. But this product is definitely going to be a keeper for me. From the very first application my hair felt so much softer and the ends of my hair were tamer.

The shine was very nice, the product felt very light in my hair and it has a nice smell. When I used on my wet hair before I blew it out, it made my hair feel like silk and looked so healthy! The other great thing is that you don't need to use much on each application, so that's always a money saver! (via palacinka)

Deep Brilliance Ceramic Hair Dryer

First to recommend

Description

I've always been of the mindset that as long as the dryer has a very high wattage, and I applied enough tension with my brush, I could get a very nice, sleek, smooth blow out with just about any old hair dryer. After trying this Deep Brilliance hair dryer, I now know nothing could be farther from the truth! Usually, when I wash my hair, I towel dry for at least thirty minutes before blow drying it, otherwise it takes half an hour to get it dry, and if I do blowdry it while it's soaking wet, it always ends up kind of coarse.

However, the first time I tried this dryer, I was seriously pressed for time so I just turned it on the minute I got out of the shower. What happened in the next five minutes completely stunned me. Not only was my hair completely dry in the five minutes that I mentioned, but it was INCREDIBLY soft, shiny, and silky to boot!!! When I arrived at work, the FIRST thing my co-workers said was how great my hair looked! If that isn't confirmation that this hairdryer is a miracle worker, then I don't know what is. Every time I used it, my hair looked like my stylist did it. I am so in love w/ this dryer! (via palacinka)

Phytomer Instant Repair - Ultra-Moisturizing Regenerating After Sun Cream

First to recommend

Description

I recently had a great opportunity to try this product, on a beach getaway with my boyfriend. I was very happy with it. Usually, after spending the day in the ocean water and sun and rinsing off repeatedly, my skin feels really parched, and having also gotten tanned skin, it can also feel a little rough to the touch. This is a super creamy soft cream that goes on and instantly soothes the skin and plumps up the little fine lines and any scaliness when I had some light peeling. It’s fairly rich, so it’s not going to be for those with oilier skins, but I was also impressed that with my on- and-off sensitive skin, that was never irritated. The cream leaves a slight sheen, but does not look too greasy. With a nice tan the sheen actually complimented my skin. Just remember that this is not a sun block, so this is for evening, before applying makeup for the night out or before going to bed. (via palacinka)

Ojon Revitalizing Mist

First to recommend

Description

I happen to love the nutty, tropical scent of Ojon hair products. I used this mist, after towel drying and before applying any other styling products to my hair. I find my hair is shinier, softer and seems healthier overall, which is awesome because I color, blow-dry and straighten on a fairly regular basis. Revitalizing Mist, when I used it on a regular basis, definitely contributed to the overall improvement in the healthy look of my (previously) slightly damaged hair. It is a quick and easy way to condition your hair, and since it comes out of the bottle as a mist, a very small amount of product is used each time. This is perfect for applying after a day at the beach or the pool, after rinsing the hair, for continuous moisturizing. I used it 3 - 4 times a week (every time I shampoo), and it does not even look as though I have made a dent in the product. The bottle looks brand new! Just remember to shake it well before spraying! Great product again from Ojon (via palacinka)

Phyto - Phytobaume Light Untangling Balm

3 people recommended this item

Description

This is very nice for everyday use. It’s a detangler/conditioner with top quality softening ingredients. This consistency is on the thin side, and it’s a really yummy-smelling liquid that comes in a flip-top bottle. I actually swim and go to the sauna quite frequently and this is great for days when I don't have time to use a thick, balmy conditioner. Another great perk is that it gave my hair incredible shine and it does not weigh my hair down, and conditions my ends very well. The packaging is great for me to tote around and in the shower because you twist the top and it opens, and squeeze out, so there are no caps to fiddle with.
Note: If you need deep conditioning, you should try some of the other heavier Phyto or Phytospecific products as this is for those of you with straight/wavy hair that is normal/dry and only really requires light conditioning and detangling.
