13-14 Bamboo Single Point Knitting Needles Gift Set

Description

These are my go to needles. I learned to knit on bamboo and now, even though I've knitted on metal and plastic I always go back to bamboo. They just work so well for me. This set of bamboo needles has all sorts of thicknesses and a bag to hold them in--it's perfect for the beginner knitter or for a more experienced knitter like me.

Bare Peruvian Highland Wool Yarn Knitting Yarn

Description

So far I've been knitting on yarn I buy in the store. The color is whatever color I buy. But, as of late, I've been tempted to see if I could dye yarn...it would certainly be unique. The only people who had my dye lot of yarn would be...me! And there certainly is some nice yarn out there to dye.

Renaissance Yarn Sampler

Description

Then again, dying yarn probably is kind of messy. And you can buy pretty yarn in all sorts of colors. I like this sampler yarn set because it has some gorgeous colors (in various jewel tones) and it has five free patterns in it. As I heard a co-worker say earlier today....'if it's free, it's for me!'.

Victorian Yarn Sampler

Right after I saw the jewel tone yarn, I saw this yarn. As enamored as I am with jewel tones.I usually play it a bit safer when I wear colors out. And the free patterns with this yarn sampler are even better...they have knit lace!

Sunset Picnic Lace Yarn Sampler

Description

This sampler might not come with free patterns, but the colors in it make it so I don't care about not getting a freebie. From the dark reds to the deep coral to the peach and on to the variable yarn it's a beautiful set of colors...plus it matches my bedroom set perfectly. The only question left, is what to knit?

Gloss Sock Yarn Knitting Yarn

First to recommend

Description

My grandmother used to be the knitter in the family, so when she died there was no one to pick up the torch and knit Christmas stockings for the new family additions. As I've gotten better at knitting, I've decided that I think I should. But before I make a Christmas stocking, I have to make a sock. And this sock yarn means even if the socks are messy they'll still be comfortable and wearable for me.

I adore the look of mohair, my favorite sweater when I was a little girl was this pastel argyle mohair creation. But mohair is SO itchy. Luckily for me, alpaca is softer and just as fluffy.

BeBe Bee Baby Balm

Description

I recently knit a rather large blanket in a rather short period (It was a baby blanket). Near the end of my marathon knitting session the skin around my knuckles got all sorts of dry. I wish I would have something like this. Plus it's all natural and smells all sorts of good.

Knitting Yarn Cutter

First to recommend

Description

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has, in a fit on not being able to find the scissors, used their teeth to cut yarn. It's not easy or fun and it doesn't taste good, but it gets the job done. A necklace is a great idea, a lot of times my scissors will be somewhere across the room, but with a cutter on a necklace it would make it FAR easier to keep track of the cutter.
