you cannot give a gift of soap, not matter how good it smells, otherwise it will look like you got a bulk box of two dozen at costco and gave them away in pairs.

however, you can give a gift of soap if it looks like you made it special, guest soaps from williams-sonoma home are monogrammed with a single initial. just make sure that it's your giftee's initial, and not your own.

Oooh! This is one of the most elegant wine decanters I've seen yet. It looks like a display-version of a very expensive bottle of perfume. (I'm sure the serious oenophiles are rolling their eyes right about now.)

The rapid cooling is fantastic, since at least one of the ladies in my wine--ahem--book club will forget her beverage contribution until she's 2 blocks away and grabs a warm bottle of white from the corner store. Knowing our love of books, we need every bottle ready to drink as quickly as possible.
