Ll Cool J: I Can't Live Without My Radio

First to recommend

Description

LL was and still is completely full of himself. I liked the bravado better when he was younger, because back then you could chalk it up to youth. Now its just sad, rude and lame. I love this album, especially this track. Its good because its true. I don't think I could live without my radio. (via Amazon)

DeVotchKa: How It Ends

First to recommend

Description

If you loved everything about Little Miss Sunshine, you'll love this album from the band that provided most of the soundtrack. The album predates the movie , but you'll find a majority of the songs that were used in the film:
"You Love Me"
"The Enemy Guns"
"How It Ends"
"We're Leaving"
and a few amazing songs not featured in the film:
"Too Tired"
"Charlotte Mittnacht"
"This Place is Haunted"
"Reprise"
I would best describe the band as neo-gypsy folk. (via Amazon)

Automatic for the People by R.E.M.

5 people recommended this item

Description

For a long time I really loathed the mere mention of R.E.M. Then I realized when this album came out in '92 I was 14 and too young to appreciate it. As I got older, the R.E.M. that was blaring in my ears were songs like Losing My Religion (which I still don't like). Now that I'm older I can revisit this album and truly appreciate it for songs like:
Sweetness Follows
Star Me Kitten
Try Not to Breathe

I do like Everybody Hurts but unfortunately its beaten over our heads, ears, and eyes. Thank MTV.
Great album all around. (via Amazon)

Forget "Maneater". Hall & Oates 1973 Abandoned Luncheonette IS the best of Hall & Oates. Part funk, part southern rock, part soul. This album is H-O-T.

"Had I Known You Better"
"I'm Just a Kid, Don't Make Me Feel Like a Man"
"She's Gone"
"When the Morning Comes"

Madonna: Madonna

Description

I was starting kindegarten and this was the ALBUM. From then on it was nothing but being coerced into synchronized playground dances to "Everybody", "Burning Up", "Physical Attraction", "Holiday" and "Lucky Star".
I have to thank my friend Cody (R.I.P.) for that :p (via Tower Records)

The B-52's: The B-52's

First to recommend

Description

This self titled album is high energy and dangerously fun! There are certain songs that make you regress to a 5 year old child with A.D.D. This album is it. I trashed my room thrashing and dancing around to "Rock Lobster" and "Dance This Mess Around". (via Amazon)
