Anyone who can't stand "weak office coffee" commonly known as "American style coffee" will love this machine. First off it does not make espresso but a rare type of brew called Moka. Amazing, moka isn't coffee after all. A Moka brew is some delicious place between espresso and weak coffee. Stelton Vacuum Jug by Erik Magnussen

This was an instant classic the minute Stelton began distributing this Erik Magnussen design. I first came across this vacuum carafe on a Swiss Air flight and never forgot it. I use this at home and love living with it. (via Jamaica Blue Mountain Traders, LLC.)

A bird has landed on the table! Designer Pernille Vea has clearly gathered inspiration from nature for the new generation of Menu's popular porcelain series, Black Contour. The pitcher, which surprisingly holds two litres, is drip-free and pleasant to pour from, due to the well-balanced and solid handle. When you look at the MENU™ Black Contour sugar bowl and milk pitcher its as though two abstract birds that have landed on the table. Designer Pernille Vea has clearly gathered inspiration from nature for the new generation of the design company Menu's popular porcelain series, Black Contour. There is soemthing really profound about scadinavian ceramics. Sometimes they are beautiful antque expressions of the types of things our grandmothers used to use. Then at other times they are like the Menu™ range - beautiful and almost primtive in their hyper contemporary design. These are simply some of the most beautiful coffee cups I have ever seen and best of all they inlude a lid that doubles as a saucer and two latte spoons. Yum! (via Jamaicabluemountaincoffee.com)

Virtually 100% of STELTON's designs are classics and the Vacuum Carafe is an exellent case in point. Well design, fun and in the hands of Erik Magnussen very clever! I first came across this product on a trip to Zurich on Swiss Air and my coffee was served from one of these carafes... I remembered thinking "WOW!" I asked the stewardesss for the manufacturer and ordered one as soon as I got back stateside. The closest thing to perfect made from plastic on Earth... try it, I guarantee you'll love it. What can I say about these cups except... they are beautiful! You have to browse the entire collection because some are masculine beautiful and others are just plain pretty in the best possible way. ChilliChilly™ is new to ceramics but have a long bright future ahead of them. Check out the "By the Lake Cups" collection and I'm sure you'll find a set you love. Nothing is more anoying at our office than what we call the coffee clutter. We used to have mismatched mugs, cups, bent spoons... well you get the picture. After buying this, all that clutter has been replaced by a single, modern, well stocked wooden cube. That cube is filled with three levels coffee cups, tea cups, even cups good for expresso! Each level acts as serving tray and even include some clever spoons. The JBM Traders guys picked another great product and the LEXON crew have done it again with a product that is truly world class, functional and beautiful. (via Jamaicabluemountaincoffee.com)

BODUM™ Santos Vacuum Coffee Brewer

Yeah, yeah, I call this a brewer because it is much more than a coffee maker. Let's start with first things first even if they have nothing to do with coffee... it's called the "Santos" like Pele's old football club in Brasil. That's neither here nor there unless of course you are a soccer fan. This brewer makes coffee using the vacuum method which I won't go into except to say the resulting coffee is fantastic!!! If you get this machine be prepared for a floor show! I still stop and watch the water move up into the upper chamber, mix with the coffee then shoot back down into the carafe.
